The ride back to the palace was even more uncomfortable than the shipment to Britain in a literal crate. Y/N had clung onto Philip's back and rested her head on his shoulder as they slowly rode back on their horse. Alexander was on his horse, riding in front of them. "So, when we return to the castle, I want you two to grab a tray or something and blend into the servant crowd until I'm back," Alexander explained. "What about George?" Y/N asked with a hoarse throat. "I wouldn't risk it, Y/N. But if you want to check the dungeons, you can do that," Alexander said, finally giving in.

Philip didn't agree with his father but kept his mouth shut. Y/N had been through enough rejection.

Once they arrived at the palace they did as they were told and took places while Alexander disappeared within the castle walls.

In the ballroom, where the guests were being received, the queen was sitting on her throne. As she looked over the countless new guests streaming in, she heard her son yawn in the background. "Arahz, be respectful. This party is for you," The queen said as she turned her head toward her son who was standing next to her. "I get that and I thank you for it. But I haven't even seen anyone I would take interest in," Arahz said and looked at the crowd. "There must be someone you find remotely good-looking," The queen said.

Arahz's eyes scanned the crowd once again before his eyes landed on a certain servant. "Well, yes, of course," He agreed and immediately looked away. "Go talk to some of them! You can't just judge someone based on their looks. Just trust me on that one," The queen said and nudged her son forward. "Mother-" "Go, you angsty child," The queen chuckled. Arahz rolled his eyes before stepping forward and slowly being bombarded by every maiden in a 20 feet radius.

"So happy that I'm not him," The queen smiled. Suddenly, one of her servants came walking toward her. "Y/N, you have to ease the boy into it," Samuel said as he approached her.

"Oh please, he's had so many years to ease into it. I don't want him to end up miserable, he has to start somewhere," The queen said. "Remember. Just because you had a very bad experience doesn't mean your son is going to," Samuel said and put his hand on her shoulder. "I hope so," Y/N said and looked at her son.

"Dude, the prince has been staring at you. I think he knows that you're not from here," Y/N told Philip as she slowly pointed at the prince. "I know and it has been freaking me out. Then again, he did seem like a nice guy when I bumped into him," Philip tensely said. "Hold on! You bumped into him and he didn't kill you? I had to get him from the library and he barked my head off!" Y/N almost yelled but bit her tongue.

"He apologized even though I bumped into him," Philip pondered out loud. "So. Unfair." Y/N sneered and folded her arms.

"Have you found a way that leads to the dungeon? I've heard the door to it is in the same hallway but I don't know where and I can't spend too much time looking," Y/N asked Philip. "No, I haven't. No one will tell where it exactly is," Philip answered. "I'll go ask some of the male servants. Maybe I can get them to say something with my female charms," Y/N sighed. "What female charms are you talking about?" Philip grinned. "Shut. Up. I'll be right back," Y/N quickly said and scurried off.

Philip went around with a tray, offering champagne to all the nobles, and soon he ran out of champagne to serve. He was told that he could get more at the back of the room so he did. But as he did, someone approached him. "Could I have one?"

Philip popped the bottle open and grabbed a glass. "Here you go, sir-" Philip said as he handed the glass of champagne and looked at the guest. "Thank you," The prince smiled and grabbed the glass.

"Er... Are you enjoying yourself, your majesty?" Philip asked, gripping the bottle tightly as the prince took a sip of his drink. "Well," He sighed. "The queen did spend a lot of time arranging this event so I guess I have to say that I am,"

"You don't like formal events?" Philip asked. "With all due respect, your grace-" "It's Arahz," The prince interrupted. Philip nervously heaved a smile, gripping the bottle a bit tighter. "A-Arahz, you're going to be a king sooner or later. Shouldn't you be used to things like this by now?" Philip asked out of general curiosity. Half-expected to be scolded for asking the question, Philip looked down while saying the last word.

"I'd rather attempt to do a backflip, to be honest," Arahz said with a chuckle. "I can do a backflip," Philip mumbled. "Wait really?!" Arahz asked with big eyes. "Y-Yeah," Philip smiled, loosening his grip on the bottle.

The prince looked around a bit and saw his mother dead-ass staring at him. "Sheesh, I should be going or else my mother is going to drag me to the dungeon," Arahz sighed and acted as if he didn't see his mother stare at him.

"Where was the dungeon again?" Philip asked, going out on a limb, hoping that he would just answer. Unluckily for him, Arahz raised his eyebrow at him. "You're a new servant here, no?" He asked him. "Y-Yes, er, I was told to work him from now on," Philip blatantly lied. "... It's down the hall to the left$, third door to the right," He answered. With that kind of luck, Philip should really consider buying a lottery ticket.

"Philip!" Y/N suddenly came running toward Philip from the back. "So, this man said something about the-" She started but quickly noticed the prince. "-About the..." She repeated with a chill going down her spine as she stared at the prince.

Philip noticed the immediate change of atmosphere. "Um... Sire, this is my sister. You have to forgive her. She is truly blind without her glasses. She lost them a few months ago but I think I found them," Philip smiled, pushing Y/N slightly behind himself. "I have never seen her before," Arahz commented, offending Y/N slightly.

"Y/N!" Philip said as she turned to her. "Go to the left and open the third crate to the right to find your 'glasses',"

First, she was a bit confused but soon enough she got the hint and scurried off. "What a clumsy girl, am I right?" Philip smiled, shaking his head. "I will see you later, I really have to go," And so the prince hurried back to his mother.

Philip let out a sigh that he had been holding in before grabbing his tray and walking the other direction.
