Arranged Marriage

Familiar | CHAPTER ONE

Time had went by fast.

Today was the day I was going to meet my future husband.

I was told that it was gonna be the engagement party.There was no going back .

I'll admit,I'm pretty nervous to meet them but hopefully it wouldn't be as bad.

I wore a simple white lace dress.The dress reached my knees and I thought it would be perfect for today.I got my makeup done with some eyeliner,which wasn't much either.My short brown hair was straightened and I kept my bangs on view.My hair had reached my shoulder,it had gotten a little longer over time.

When I heard mom call my name,I went downstairs,walking carefully in my high heels.I was gonna wear shorter heels but mom forced me into wearing these higher ones.

My parents were both wearing white as well.When they saw me,they leaded me outside where the car was waiting for us.

Our driver,Daniel,stood there as he held the door open.He has been with us for years and he was only in his 30s.He smiled when he saw us.

"Good evening,Y/N."

I returned back a smile and mumbled a reply before I got inside and sat by the window.Mom had got in next to me.

We were halfway through the drive when mom spoke up.

"Listen,I want everyone to keep a good opinion on you.If you don't know the answer to a question than just make one up but make sure it makes sense and doesn't change their mind."Mother said and I rolled my eyes as I kept my eyes outside the window.

My mom always wanted a better reputation than my father did.It always annoyed me since I had to make up lies to strangers.But of course,it wasn't the first time for me.

I sighed but kept her words in mind after all.

Soon enough,we had arrived to their mansion.It was a little bigger than ours but I wasn't surprised.

The three of us got out of the car and I got a better view of the mansion.We came right on time.

Immediately when we entered the mansion,eyes were on us and some people came to greet us.I just kept a smile on my face.I had to stick with my parents for know since I didn't know where to go.I barely knew anyone here.

Some people that I knew from our company had greeted us,but other than that I barely recognized anyone else.They were probably from the other company.

The mansion was decorated neatly and there were more people here than I expected.

I was looking around,clearly not paying attention but I suddenly stopped when I heard a voice.

"Ah you must be Y/N."The woman looked very young and she looked a little familiar.She had a beautiful smile but than you realized that she was talking to me.

"Yes,that's me."I replied.The man next to me,who I think was her husband had gave me a kind smile as well.

I was wondering who they were.

"Sorry about that,you must be wondering who I am"she said which caught back my attention.

"I'm Jungkook's mother."

I widened my eyes when she said that.

Jungkook?

This must be another Jungkook,right?Not the one I know,for sure.

Before the lady could continue,I heard mom and dad's voice as they headed towards our direction.

"Mrs.Jeon and Mr.Jeon,it's nice to see you guys again."Mom spoke up with a grin on her face as she hugged the lady.

Mom had noticed my presence so she put a hand on my shoulder,the smile still on her face.

"This is my daughter,Y/N."She introduced me to them and I kept a friendly smile on my face as I slightly bowed to them.

"Y/N,these are the parents of Jungkook.You will be married to their son."Mom said and it took me time to process her words.I was less confused know but a little surprised.

"Jungkook was with us a while ago."Mrs.Jeon said and her husband nodded."I'm pretty sure he went to go use the restroom."

Before we could say anything else,I heard a male voice from behind us.

"Mom,dad?What are you guys doing here?"I heard their voice clearly enough.I stopped when I realized who it was.

"Mrs and Mr Kim,nice to meet you guys again."He bowed to my parents.

He was smiling widely but he stopped when he saw me.

"Y/N?"He asked which caught everyones attention.He looked confused and surprised,as much as I was.

"Do you two know each other?"His mother asked as she looked in between us.

Jungkook was one of my best friend's from my childhood,well he used to be.

The two of us used to be very close until he broke our friendship one day all the sudden.I used to like him from to way he treated me with care and had always looked after me.I knew it was wrong but even after that,I thought I would have the slightest chance with him.However,I lost my trust in it when he started acting cold and harsh to me.He left me for other girls that were just using him and didn't even care about my feelings after all.He wouldn't even spare a glance at you but at times people would come up to me,saying how he insulted me behind my back.After that,I knew I would have no chance with him.He probably didn't like me back.He ruined our friendship for no reason.

I was brought back to reality when Jungkook shook his head,as a response to his mothers questions.

"No,I haven't seen her before."He replied and gave me a small smile but I knew he was just forcing it.

"I'm just excited to know more about Y/N.I can't wait to see what the future plans out for us."He said,his smile deepening.

I knew what he was saying was not true.He already knew everything about me.That's if he only remembered.

"Oh that's great."His mother said and pat his shoulder."I'm pretty sure you two would get along well."She added and I tried to ignore her words as I faked a smile,acting all shy.

"If so,we'll leave you two to get closer to each other."Mom said and I widened my eyes.

"That would be amazing."Jungkook said and I tried to keep in my anger.

Our parents had left us to let us to talk and catch up with each other.I had no interest in it.

"I'm supposed to be marrying you?"Jungkook said as soon as they were out of our sight and I rolled my eyes.

"What else do it look like?"I said and avoided making any eye contact with him.

"I expected it to be someone better."He crossed his arms and eyed me from head to toe.I finally made eye contact with him and glared at him.He had a poker face.

"Well thanks for making it any better.I didn't even ask in the first place."I replied.He stood there,expressionless.I wasn't able to read his facial expressions because he didn't show any.

I'll admit,Jungkook did get more handsome over the years.He was a few inchestaller than me.I was tall enough to look at him straightly without really looking up ,especially because of my heels.

His hair was long and fluffy and there were a few hoops hanging off of his ears.

However,I still see him the same because off his personality.There's no change to it except for his little act earlier.He was still the jerk I remember from the past.I could tell we wouldn't be getting along well in the future like we are know.

"Whatever.Just keep in your head that I'm only marrying you for our companies.I have no interest in you but in public we have to act the opposite."He stated and I remained quiet for a few seconds.

"Fine.But It's not like I care anyway."I answered and looked away from him.

If that's he wanted he wanted than I'm fine with it.
