Jo's POV

Beep. Beep. Beep.
Beep. Beep. Beep.

Hero.

I wake up alert. I need to find him, I need to know what happened to him. Where's my baby? Where is he? Why is there in IV in me?

What the hell happened?!

Melody stands up from where she is. "Hey, Jo you're gonna be okay. You need to stop, you have to rest Jo." She says, grabbing my hands softly.

I calm down a bit and look at her. "Where... where am I? Where's Hero?" I ask and she looks at me.

"Jo... he fought that Jason guy for you. He's a lot worse then you..." I cut her off though, even though I should be nice to her.

"You didn't answer my fucking question..." I say and bite my lip. "Where is Hero?" I ask again and she sighs a bit.

"He's in the room next door, but he's... Jo..." she looks at me. She doesn't continue, why isn't she continuing?

"What happened to him Melody? Or I swear to god I'll strangle you with the IV," I say with tears in my eyes. Please don't be dead, god please don't be on the verge of dying.

"When they found him, he was coughing up blood. There was internal bleeding in his chest cavity. It was so bad it was choking him..." she say and tears fall.

"Keep going... please tell me that's not it..." I say and I wipe my tears. I need to see Hero.

"It's- it's not," she continues. "He, like you, has a really bad concussion. They say it's most likely he'll remember everything. They fixed his really badly broken nose, and I think that's everything." She says and I shake my head.

"I need to see him, I need him." I mumble and start getting up. "No, Jo!" She says as I start falling. I didn't even realize I was walking. God why am I so dizzy?

"Like I told you, you suffered a really bad concussion. You need to rest." She brings me back to my bed laying me down. "We'll go see him later okay? Maybe when he's awake." She offers me a smile, which I kinda return.

"Janis was caught, Jason somehow got away though. I don't know how the police didn't get him though."

I look at her really confused, "Who... who's Janis?" I ask and she sighs. Great this is just great.

"Janis is Jason's sister. Hell of a family if you ask me." She chuckles at her own joke and I take a deep breath. Hell of a family for sure.

"Why can't I see him now? It's later..." I mumble and she grabs my ankle. I look at her annoyed.

"I swear I'll lock your ankles up Josephine." She says and I lay back down. I'm tired, my world is literally spiraling. I pull the thin blanket closer to me and then my back to her. "Jo..." she says softly.

"I'm tired, you should go..." I say as tears roll down my face and onto the pillow. I need him, I hate being this far from him.

I hear her leave, which is good. I wipe my eyes, and after about 15 minutes I call the nurse. Sooner rather then later I learn her name is Sharon, and she's actually pretty nice.

"Is something wrong, Ms. Langford?" She asks concerned. I nod a bit and I sit up.

"I need to see Hero... just hearing that he's okay isn't enough for me. Not anymore..." I say softly and she nods, smiling.

I told her about me and Hero, and all that we went through. She told me about Hero's injuries and how bad they were. She's also his nurse. It's a small hospital in Chicago, they brought us here so we wouldn't be mobbed by fans or something. "I'll go get you a wheelchair," she smiles and goes out, quickly bringing one in.
