Eun-Kyung

She couldn't feel her feet anymore, just a numbness and the occasional blister. Eun-Kyung panted, her breath steaming the bitter cold. It was a mistake to think it would've stopped chasing her. She was really scared. A dragon flew beside her, it's long tail flicking off the pursuer as best as it could. She tripped and was sent spiralling into the cobblestones. She scrambled to her knees and prayed just as the gumiho pounced. The sky flashed brightly despite it being nighttime, and it was the last time she would see anything.

The villagers had always told the tale of Eu-Kyung. Warning children to beware of the gumiho. The children would scoff and tell them the stone girl and gumiho were just statues. The new adults would scoff and tell the travellers that they could take the statues. So they did, and travelled to the the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where it was placed in the front of the newest exhibit for recovered statues.

The next morning, the museum shook, and a blinding light filled the museum. When the doors were unlocked and the security guards surged in to find the reason. All was intact, they had to wonder what was the noise.

Weeks and weeks the visitors marvelled at the details of the statue, the somehow messy hair captured in stone, the eyes of terror captured perfectly. The intricate features of an eight year old and the right reaction. The snarl contorted on the fox's face was realistic, and terrifying.

My head throbbed. Dust surrounded me, like when the girls and I had smashed stones against the ground when we were angry. Light blinded me, and I panicked, were the scary gods punishing me?
A voice spoke, I didn't know what it was saying. Who was it? Was it a mean person?

The light disappeared. A strange face was in front of me. It didn't look like mine, peachy skin, green eyes and hair that looked gold strands.

"nal jug-iji ma!" I cried out, covering myself and looking for the guhimo. My dress was as dusty as the floor. I frowned. Goawon eomeoni would be very mad at me.

The strange man looked confused and called out again in a strange way. Another man limped over. I was speechless. He had goat legs, just like the goats near the Orphanage. He had those horn poking from his hair.

The first man offers a hand after a discussion with goat-man. I don't think he's mean, so i took his hand. He led me through so many stone people, and pretty pictures. He led me to a rattling bucket that growled. I hid behind him, and he raised a questioning eyebrow.

"geuge mwoya?" I asked, trembling. He seemed to get an idea and he pulled out a slim box of metal with strange writing. He pressed a button and signalled me to repeat. I did and my voice came out the same gibberish as him. He spoke into it and to my surprise, it translated to my language. A car? Weird name!

I got in the car as I heard demonic wailing and flashing blue and red lights.
