"So let me get this straight, he kissed you to shut you up and then threw you over his shoulder and tried to take you back his moms house before I stepped in and then he left." Kane clarifies the story he was just told
"Yeah, pretty much." Nikki shrugs
"He likes you." Kane points out
Nikki rolls her eyes and perches herself on one of the arm chairs in the living room.
"No he doesn't." Nikki sighs
"Don't worry, I won't tell anyone about the kiss." Kane says standing next to Nikki
"Thank you Kane." Nikki says looking down
Eventually the pair puts in a movie and ends up falling asleep.
The Next Day
Brantley
Well I probably just made a huge mess. I'm out on my date with Amber and very happy. In all honesty, Nikki should've told me before I fell in love with someone else. I look at Amber and grab her hand, then speak up.
"Do you want to meet my friends?" I ask
"Yeah, sure." Amber replies
"Then how 'bout you come over tomorrow." I suggest
"Sure." Amber smiles
The Next Day
Kane
This isn't good at all. I look over at Nikki and shake her awake, after reading the text B sent me.
"We have a problem." I say
"What is it this time?" Nikki asks
"B, is bringing Amber to meet all of us today." I say
"This isn't good at all." Nikki replies wide eyed
"You need to wear somethin' cute and maybe Brantley will open his eyes." I suggest
And with that, Nikki went to the bedroom where she had put her bag and came out looking like this.

"If that don't open his eyes then I don't know what will." I say
Then an idea pops into my head.
"Can I pretend to be your boyfriend?" I ask
"To see what B'll do, sure." Nikki responds
I look at her and lace her fingers with mine.
"Let's do this." She smiles

This ain't gonna go well, I can tell that much when we pull into B's driveway where our friends trucks are parked. I look at Kane and once again he grabs my hand and gets out of the truck. To my suprise, he comes around, opens my door before I can, and holds my arms out for me to jump into.
