As soon as he woke up, Draco knew that it wasn't his day. If he was being specific, it hadn't been his day since Valentine's Day, which was a few days prior. He just felt bad for the date that they were set up on. He could tell instantly that Harry regretted showing up, because he looked tense and awkward. Maybe that's why Draco's flirting wasn't reciprocated, because Harry was straight, straight as a board. Draco frowned, rolling over so his face was in his pillow. Why did he have to fall for straight guys? As soon as the date had finished, he booked it, hating himself for letting his stupid feelings lead into a blind "date". Draco's alarm rang, bringing him back to reality and out of his head. The blonde Slytherin failed to turn it off so he chucked it across the room. Well, attempted to. Due to his lack of energy, it only went about a foot and did not turn off. With his face still against the pillow, Draco blindly reached for his wand, casting a explosive charm in the general direction of the alarm clock. Luck seemed to be on his side for the first time in months, and the alarm stopped ringing. Granted, it was also broken but that's a later Draco problem. Now the next issue to do with was getting out of bed. He didn't feel like it, he had absolutely no energy, and Harry probably told everyone about their date and the whole school will laugh at him if he went to breakfast. Which, if he wanted to make it in time he would have to get out of bed soon so he can look reasonable. He honestly didn't want to do that, but he had to teach. He could send an owl to Mcgonagall, but he would feel bad due to all the times he's owled in whenever his anxiety would get bad. Then again he hasn't done that in a while, ever since Harry and him became friends. Harry. Just thinking of him made his stomach twist up, suddenly feeling queasy.

"Bloody hell!" Draco exclaimed, burying his head further into his pillow. The Slytherin figured that if the suffocation didn't kill him, his massive crush on his friend would.

Draco didn't leave his bed until after classes ended, occupying his time by looking at the very interesting ceiling. He wasn't even going to leave his bed until a knock happened to rudely interrupt his plans. Choosing to ignore it wasn't an option, because every thirty or so seconds, another knock would interrupt his peace. groaning, he literally rolled off the bed, landing with a plop. After a few moments, and another persistent knock, a very grumpy Draco opened the door to be faced with no one. He looked right and left, in hopes of catching the ding dong ditcher, only to have something catch his eye. Right in front of the door was a small envelope, with his favorite chocolate bar and a singular rose. Confused and curious, Draco sent one last glance down the hall before gabbing the items, walking back into the room.

Draco didn't know why he was so skeptical about the simple objects. Maybe it was the worries about it being hexed due to some hater who found out, but the hex-detection spells came out negative. He was sat there, staring at the objects. He finally decided to open the letter, leaving the chocolate and rose on his desk. The envelope had nothing but his name, written boldly in black ink. Shakily, his fingers ripped the top open, careful not to rip the contents. Inside was a letter, and Draco looked at it before reading it.

'Draco,

Hi. Wow okay I do not know how to begin this. You don't know how many crumbled pieces of parchment I have surrounding my desk. I guess the proper way to begin this is an apology. I am sorry that i have been avoiding you these past few days when you needed me the most. I hear that you haven't really left your room since I last saw you. I am sorry for that. If I wrote everything that I needed to say down, this letter would be meters upon meters long, therefore I will keep this short and get to the point. We need to talk, there are things that need to be addressed that have been bottled up for a while. However, I know that you need space right now. I will not pressure you into talking, therefore when you're ready send me an owl. Just know that I do not hate you, I promise that I don't hate you. Please take your time, there is no pressure in talking. I care about you so much, which leads me to another point of concern. I too, haven't left my room much which lead me to a hospital wing trip. I do not want the same to happen to you, so please make sure you're taking care of yourself. I know it's hard, but please make sure everyday you eat a little, drink water, and take you potions if you need to. Along with this letter you should have received a rose and chocolate. I hope you enjoy them. Again, no pressure in talking but please reach out if needed.

With love,

Harry'

Draco smiled as he read the letter, feeling better than he did all week. His crush didn't hate him, and even sent a rose. No one sends roses to someone they hate, or do they? The spark of hope in his chest pushed away the doubt, the grin on his face remaining. He looked at the clock, seeing that it was almost dinnertime. He wasn't quite ready to face Harry, seeing as he was drained from today. However, breakfast was looking promising as Draco reached across his desk, grabbing a piece of parchment and a quill. Maybe, Draco thought, maybe things are starting to look up.

Harry came back from dinner, a slight smile still on his face. Even though Draco wasn't at dinner, he saw Teddy there, and he was talking and smiling with his best friend again, both looking happier than they have been in a while. Things were starting to look up, he had a feeling that everything would be okay. That feeling of hope grew when he opened his door, seeing a piece of folded up parchment on his bed, which had his name written on it. Unfolding it with a smile, he saw two words that reassured him that Draco didn't hate him.

'Thank you'
