Chapter 2

Saturday

Indigo's POV.

I woke up feeling the warm rays of the sun coming through my window. I looked outside and admired the beauty that came from the morning.

I rolled out of bed and headed straight to the bathroom to start getting ready for the day.

I opened the doors to my closet and walked in deciding what to wear.

I picked out a pair of blue jeans with a cropped black and white stripe top long with Adidas sneakers.

I Straightened out my hair like I normally do.

I went downstairs and saw a note on the dining table from Josh.

Note: I went to the store.

I opened the door to step outside I took a breath of fresh air. I turned around to close the door when I turned back around I bumped into someone.

I then realized that it was the boy from next door, He was holding a box of cupcakes.

"Omg, I am so sorry I - "

We both reached for the box at the same time with his hands landing on top of mines. We slowly looked up into each other eyes, I started to feel nervous.

I felt like I was in one of those romantic movies.
He has light skin, Crystal blue eyes, Golden blond hair, and Pale red lips. Whoa, he was really cute.

Don't be nervous, don't be nervous. I keep saying to myself.

I quickly stand up. "I-i am so sorry," I stuttered nervously.

"It's okay you don't have to apologize," he said with a genuine smile.

He was taller than i. I smile nervously looking down.

He smiled. "I'm Ethan, and you are?" He asked holding out his hand for me to shake.

I looked up at him. "I'm I-indigo," I said nervously shaking his hand.

"Wow, you have a lovely name," He said looking into my eyes.

I couldn't keep eye contact with him, I was making me more nervous.

"Thank you," I said quietly smiling.

"It's really nice meeting you, by the way, my mom baked these red velvet cupcakes for your mom luckily none of them has smashed," he said then handed me the box of cupcakes.

"That's really nice do thank her, mom is at work when she returned I will be sure to give her," I smiled.

"I wi-

"Ethan!" his mom shouted from across next door.

"I'm coming mom" He shouted back.

"Well that's my mom, I have to go now it was nice meeting you," He said with a smile before walking off.

I smiled. "Nice meeting you too".

He walked away but stopped to look at me before entering his house. He was so charming he seems like a nice boy.

I went back inside and made Blueberry pancakes which were my favorite for breakfast. A few minutes later Josh got home and heading straight to the kitchen carrying groceries.

"Hey Indigo," Josh said unpacking the groceries.

"Hey, Seems like you did a lot of groceries shopping?" I said walking to the kitchen to help him.

His phone vibrates as he removes it from his pocket. "I have to take this," He said walking to the living room.

I nod.

Suddenly the doorbell rings and I went to open the door.

"Hey" Noah greeted with a tight hug as usual.

"Hey," I said hugging him back tightly. I inhaled the fresh woody scent of his cologne he smells so good I don't want to let go.

"indigo?" Noah asks slightly pulling away.

I pulled away. "oh sorry".

Noah chuckled. "it's cool".

We walked into the living room. Noah and I sat on the sofa and we watched Netflix all day.

Noah's POV.

I glanced at my phone that says 8:40 pm. And then at Indigo, her beautiful brown hazel eyes blinked slowly before drifting off to sleep. Her head falls on my shoulder.

As I lifted her up She gently wraps her arms around my shoulders while carrying her upstairs into her room. I slowly lay her down on her bed and covered her. She looks so cute sleeping.

I went to the guest room which was right beside indigo's room.

I lay in bed staring at the ceiling with my arms above my head thinking. I hid my feelings for so long about how I really felt about Indigo, she's my best friend but, I like her more than just best friend.

We had a good friendship growing up and I don't want to ruin that, what if she doesn't feel the same way.

Nah you can't open up about how you really feel you will just ruin a good friendship just forget it. I thought to myself then turned off the bedside lamp and went to sleep.
