Alarm Clock
Two nights in a row,
no day nor sunrise.
No, nothing but peace-
sleep and closed eyes.
No demanding school,
or rude awakenings.
Just some well-deserved rest
and mental vacationing.
Oh, the wonder
of no BEEP-BEEP-BEEP!
Louder and louder,
disturbing my sleep.
Yet there is is again, that
BEEP-BEEP-BEEP!
I fear the night is over,
no more counting sheep.
I roll out of bed,
my alarm clock shall pay-
And then I learn with a shock,
What?! It's Saturday?!
