Amber trudged along the dark path surrounded by forest looking for any sign of civilization. She soon spotted street lights in the distance and sped up to a jog. The last thing she remembered was mixing paints to work on her project when black spots clouded her vision; she stumbled back. Then woke up in the middle of a forest. Anxiety thrashed her heart against her ribcage.

"Where the hell am I?!" She cried to herself but soon skidded to a stop once a blue car parked behind the edge of a cliff came into view. Next to it stood a man and a tall figure that looked somewhat like a man, only it had horns jutting out from the top of its head that curved around its face. Fear swelled in the back of her throat.

The man and creature both turned towards her; the creature's glowing golden eyes forever burned in her memory. She fled into the forest running faster than she ever thought possible. Suddenly, a strong hand grasped her forearm and jerked her backwards causing her knees to buckle under her until she collapsed on the ground, trembling. The creature still held her forearm firmly but gently; Strictlander, his new loathing master, ordered him to capture and kill her.

Although, looking down at the seemingly harmless, delicate human, he couldn't help but be reminded of the kind, harmless villagers Gunmar slaughtered before he was defeated at Killahead Bridge. Gunmar was the very reason he sought the repulsive witch who cursed his sole into the Infurna Copula. Looking down at her, he also couldn't help but notice the way she smelled of roses or the way her long brown hair fell around her small yet full frame. She held her head low and seemed to draw further within herself as he kneeled in front of her and leaned closer curiously.

Her glasses had fallen off during her scurry and now sat on the ground near her curled legs. The creature carefully picked them up and held them out to her; she flinched at the gesture but slowly took them from the palm of his hand accidently brushing her finger tips against his skin. To her surprise it was smooth and hard as rock with a dark gray complexion. Her eyes followed up his toned arm and strong body adorned with belts and a loin cloth. A branch sat on one shoulder and a covering of some sort sat on the other. Groves swirled all over his body but something about his glowing golden eyes inhibited her from tearing her gaze away.

He gazed back into into her deep chocolate brown eyes framed with thick black bars of her glasses that seemed to further enhance them. She wore fitted blue jeans and a loose, yellow, cropped tee-shirt with botanical red and brown patterns. He felt heat rise to his face as he noticed her curvy figure.

" Who are you fleshbag?" He inquired. His deep voice sent shivers down her spine. Fear began to flood her system but at the same time she couldn't help but feel oddly attracted to the creature. Her face flushed red at the thought.

" I- uh..." her voice caught in her throat, "I-I'm Aubrey. My name is Aubrey. What are yo- uh, or, sorry! Who are you?!" She squeaked. He smiled but paused once he noticed the fear build up in her face.

" I don't wish to harm you... Aubrey. I am Angor Rot; I am a troll."

" A... troll?" Her brows furrowed in confusion.

" A civilization unbeknownst to your kind," he clarified, " What are you doing in the middle of the woods at this hour?" He regretted asking this though as tears pooled in her eyes and her pink lips quivered.

" I don't know!" Her voice broke, " I was working on a painting when suddenly I passed out and woke up here! Only I don't know where here is!" She gasped though as he caressed her collar bone and looked at her curiously.

"What happened to your neck and chest?" She paused, momentarily stunned at the inquiry; her heart continued to pound against her chest plate. She then remembered the red blotches that would form on her neck and chest when she became flustered or nervous.

" I, uh, get red blotches when I'm flustered... nothing to worry about," He removed his hand from her chest; a sinking feeling bloomed in her gut as she longed for his touch to comeback. He stood and offered her his hand. She took it and he effortlessly pulled her to her feet. Then he turned to walk away but flinched when she exclaimed, " Where are you going??"

He gestured to the sun rise. " I must take refuge before the sun rises or I'll be turned to stone." Silence followed his statement. Normally Angor wouldn't interact with humans, but something about this one- he just couldn't resist.

"Can..." His head snapped to meet her gaze, " Can I come with you?" To say he was shocked would be an understatement. Aubrey was desperate to cling to anything remotely familiar in this new strange place.

He walked over to her and picked her up- holding her close to his chest. She blushed furiously but wrapped her arms around his neck and held on. He used the skathrun to open a portal; her grip on him tightened as she hid her face in the crook of his neck. He chuckled in response but inside his heart fluttered.
