Chapter 10- General Elections!

"I'm center nova?" Her radiance was too bright for anyone to even see her. It was as if she was wearing a dress of light. "What is this powerful light, is it even possible that a center nova can shine this brightly?" Kaori asked. "A message from the manager." Kaori announced. Her voice echoed throughout the whole entire space craft. "Good evening everyone. I have an important message." Kaori said. "An important message? What could it be?" some people in the crowd mumbled. "Special message, we didn't hear anything about this." Takamina said. Acchan closed her eyes ready to listen. She felt radiance in her heart and she felt a little fuzzy. "We will be holding the annual general elections. Please support akb0048 by voting for your favorite member to be on our special team." Kaori announced. Everyone looked at eachother. Acchan's radiance lowered down a little and everyone was able to see her face but not her uniform. "Everyone, we hope you vote for us. Please vote for us. Thanks for coming to our concert today, we all hope that we'll be sitting in those seats." Acchan announced. "Akb0048!" they exclaimed. The lights went out and they walked off stage. "Acchan! I won't lose! I won't lose to you! One day I will surpass you!" Yuko exclaimed. "Acchan has lots of pheremones!" Kojiharu smiled. "R-really?" Acchan asked blushing. "Nyan nyan!" Kojiharu winked. "But Acchan you were really amazing out there, your dance was on top of all of us and your singing was on point. Is it really true you have cancer?" Takamina asked. "Cancer?" Yuko asked with a worried look on her face. "It's true, I have throat cancer." Acchan smiled an awkward smile. Everyone looked worried. Acchan searched through her mind desperately not knowing what to say. Cancer. It was a scary word. But she never thought of it like that. Cancer was just something that made her different. It was the first time she realized it was painful and scary, after the looks on her very own friends faces. "I'm going to get some rest. I think I'm coming down with something." Acchan lied. "You okay?" Mariko asked. "Yeah. I'm center nova after all." Acchan smiled. Acchan closed the door behind her. "Cancer, huh? I never knew she's been through something so painful." Yuko said. "She's been through a lot. Her mother died when she was young and she died of the same cancer. I hope they find a cure one day." Mariko said. "Something like that, it's sad." Tomochin said wiping her tears. "But Acchan's really amazing. She's someone you could look up to. She tries her best every day, so that means we have to also try our best to support her." Takamina said. "Let's do something for her! To celebrate all her hard work!" Kojiharu exclaimed cheerfully. "Great idea." Sae smiled. "Let's go all out!" Sayaka exclaimed. "But Mariko keep this a secret okay?" Yukirin asked. "Sure. I'll help you guys also." Mariko said. "I'll organize everything. If it's for Acchan, I'll do all I can." Mayuyu added. "My rival and friend! I love Acchan so I'll do anything! " Yuko said cheerfully. "Okay everyone, I'm going to check on her." Mariko said. Everyone nodded. Mariko floated to Acchan. She was sound asleep. Mariko put a blanket over her and returned to the girls. She saw them planning. They sure did a lot for Acchan. She joined them with a smile.

Acchan woke up on her bed. "How did I get here?" Acchan asked sleepily. "Sayaka carried you here." Mariko smiled. "Good morning Mariko." Acchan smiled. "Good Morning Acchan. I have an announcement to make about the general elections so the girls will be here in any minute. Acchan nodded. "Good morning Mariko, Acchan." Takamina greeted. "Good morning girls." I will not be participating in the general elections so everyone do your best okay?" Mariko smiled. "No way!" Kojiharu exclaimed. "I have a new part in a new movie so most of my time is taken away from my performances." Mariko explained. "Too bad. But thank you Mariko for everything. We all wish you luck." Acchan said. All the girls smiled at Mariko. "Thank you everyone." Mariko smiled. "Who's ready for a bath then!" Kojiharu exclaimed. "Me!" Yuko said. "Let's go!" Mayuyu added. "I'll go too!" Tomochin winked. They all dashed and dived into the splashing warm water. They washed themeselves off. "Today's our off day, what should we do?" Takamina asked. "I know! Let's all go to the carnival! Then the movies!" Yuko exclaimed. "Then shopping." Tomochin added. "Karaoke too." Yukirin added. "Sounds like fun." Mariko smiled. "Sorry everyone but I still have my idol work today so I can't do any of that. I'm really sorry." Acchan said sadly. "It's okay Acchan. Don't worry about it much." Sae smiled. "We'll buy you some clothes and save you some snacks." Sayaka added. "I'm really sorry." Acchan said. "Acchan, don't worry, an idol's work is an idol's pride right?"Takmina smiled. Yuko hugged Acchan in the water. "I want you! I need you! I love you! Don't worry about it!" Yuko sang. Everyone laughed.
