The whistle blew. It didn't take long before Raimon had the ball and was leading. But that can't be right.

After all, the first battle with the dark emperors, they had struggled and almost gave up. So why now, why that now it feels as if it's so easy? Is it.. is it because Endou isn't with them?

No. With Endou they're stronger. With Endou they can take anything on. With Endou, they went through countless of challenges, and came out victorious. Which only means one thing,

The Dark Emperors aren't even close to trying.

They're toying with them. Letting them feel hope that they can score. That they can win.

It was useless. Endou didn't even flinched. He stood there, blank faced, void of any emotion. The ball sat idly in his hands

"That doesn't mean you shouldn't try again" Kidou's hand tighten his grip. Giving a sense of.. warmth? "I trust your judgement. You are our best keeper after Endou. You and him are alike. More ways than you can count"

"Endou found a way to stop Aphrodi's God Knows, despite not working the first time. So, who's to say you can't do the same?"

"The game's far from over. We can still experiment with things"

With Kidou's words, the fire in him ignited. Yeah, he's right. It's not even second half! They have so much more time to figure things out!

"Yes! Leave it to me!" His eyes showed with determination "I'll make sure to stop the ball!!"

Kidou said nothing and he walked back to the middle. Cape blowing and Tachimukai saw exactly why Kidou was chosen as captain at Teikoku

And if Kidou smiled when Tachimukai gain back his strength?

Im so sorry it took so long dkhdjd after that author's note of "a planned fanfic crossover" i really went ahead and made an empty promise huh 😭
