Peace of the Earth

Silence forever grasps onto the Earth.

The Silence found when all are gone,
And shadows fill the halls.

Ghosts bathe in it, smiles fade in it,
The Silence and the dark.

Brief emptiness is comforting,
As the world falls around.

People die, and people kill,
In hatred and in spite.

Blinded by themselves,
And deafened by pride,
Their victims go unheard.

They'll disappear
Through their own fear,
But never soon enough.

The ghosts they've made
And crimson days
Will never fade away.

Nations rise, and nations fall.

Battles fought, with death the toll.
And brief Silence the reward.

Till once again,
A leader sins,
Dooming all those under them.

Because their hate
For those against,
Is worth more than those with them.

As armies rage,
People flee,
And Silence is pushed away.

Until bloody and broken,
The soldiers are left,
Welcoming Silence
As though a friend.

Though Silence is not a friend to man,
Who destroy it by fighting themselves.

And Silence knows deep down:
The Earth could wipe out everything,
To let Silence once more meet the ground.

And so the Earth tears through itself,
Ravaging its land.

Through gusts of wind,
And lava bright,
It's own heart tearing out.

For Silence all will disappear,
That much is assured.

And those who cling to life and noise
Will only be destroyed.

Their screams cry out,
And then cut short.

Never again will they be heard,
As Earth breaks all to their knees.

And then there's Silence once more.

Consuming Silence, ruling once more.
