Chapter 8: Apologies

Oikawa's POV

I opened my eyes as the new day started, feeling refreshed. Yesterday, (F/N) broke up with Toryn, all while letting us know she's staying in Japan. I feel so much better about everything, knowing she's staying, knowing he's out of the picture. I plan to win that girl back, even if it's the last thing I do.

"What are you doing weirdo." I heard (F/N)'s voice. I looked over to see her climbing in through the window while giggling. "You're just staring up and the wall and smiling, it's kinda creepy." She said while coming over to me and grabbing a pillow, then smacking me with it.

"Ouch! That hurt (F/N)!" I yelled.

"Yea, yea. Shut up you big baby." She joked while laying down next to me.

"What are you doing here?" I asked while turning around to face her.

"Can I not come without any intention?" She asked jokingly.

"You're welcome to come anytime (N/N). Just say the words and I'll make it happen." I joked while winking at her as one of my hands ran up and down her side.

"You are absolutely disgusting." She said while grabbing the pillow and smacking me again, causing me to start laughing again.

"Hey, you don't have a boyfriend anymore. That means I can hit on you." I told her. 

"I would rather you didn't, but I know you will anyways." She said.

"Yea I will. So, what are you actually doing here? I'm curious." I asked the girl.

"I wanted to hang out with you. That and to ask you what you think of having me as a roommate..." She said.

"No way! (N/N) I would love that!!" I jumped out of my place, feeling excited. Of course I wanted (F/N) as my roommate!

"Not official or anything. I got accepted for the new semester last week, I still have to sort out the dorm stuff." She told me.

"You've known this for a week now and you haven't told me?" I questioned her.

"Hey you're literally like the only person who knows right now! Other than Toryn." She reminded me. I laid back down in my spot as the girl smiled at me.

"I can't wait, everything is going to be 10x better with you there." I told her, causing a giggle to erupt from the girl.

"You're adorable." She mumbled.

"You never learn do you." I sighed while turning pink.

"I never will." She shrugged.

"I told you Iwa-Chan!" I yelled while sticking my tongue out at him. I stood in the kitchen with (F/N) and her family as she told them the news. "I told you she would stay!" I continued.

"How'd you know I'd stay?" (F/N) asked.

"Don't worry about it." I told her with a smile.

"Shut up Shittykawa, this isn't about you." Iwa-Chan mumbled.

"Honey that's great! I'm so happy that you decided to stay." Her mother said while walking up to her and kissing her forehead.

"What about Toryn?" Her dad asked.

"We broke up. We weren't happy anyways, it was going to happen sooner or later." She told them. (F/N) told me that she didn't want to tell them the full story and I respected her decision. I looked over to Iwa-Chan with a smirk and he rolled his eyes.

'I'm going to snatch up your sister again.' I mouthed to him, then stuck out my tongue and he cracked his knuckles while staring me dead in the eyes, causing me to move farther away. 

"So what about all your stuff that's still in America?" Her dad asked.

"I had one of my friends pack it all up from me and shipped it. They should all be here in a few days." She informed.

"Wow, you've got it all figured out." Her mom said and (F/N) nodded happily.

"Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to the mall because American fashion and Japanese fashion are in no way alike. Tooru, come with?" She asked while looking over at me.

"Of course." I said with a smile and we made our exit.

"So tell me Tooru, how's the uni that I'm about to go to?" (F/N) asked me as we walked around the mall.

"It's pretty good! Kinda hard, but like it's uni so it has to be. It has a pretty good atmosphere. Like you can automatically tell it isn't high school anymore. I really like it." I told the girl.

"Well if you like it, then I definitely will!" She said while smiling up at me. God I just want to kiss her. I turned my face away in attempt to hide the slight blush I could feel rising to my cheeks. "I'm sorry Tooru." She mumbled after a few seconds of silence.

"Sorry? Why are you sorry?" I asked, confused as to why she was apologizing. The girl stopped walking, causing me to stop with her.

"For everything. For leaving, for ruining things between us, but mostly, for constantly messing with your feelings. I know how I make you feel and me being so clingy does not help, and I haven't guaranteed you anything either. So I'm sorry." She said while looking down.

"Guarantee me what?" I asked.

"A relationship, I don't know if that's a possibility for us again." She mumbled.

"Of course it's a possibility (F/N), and don't apologize." I told her.

"No, I mean I don't know if it's possible off my end. I love you so much, but I don't know how I feel about a relationship. I obviously got screwed over in my last one, I don't know if I can do a relationship anytime soon." She said, tears forming in her eyes.

"Hey, don't you dare cry." I said softly while walking up to (F/N) and wiping her tears, then hugging her. "You know me (F/N), I would never do anything to hurt you, ever, and I will wait as long as it takes. I love you (F/N), in more ways than one, and I will always be here." I told the girl softly, her grip around me tightened.

"I don't deserve you."
