Chapter 9 (Last Chapter)

A week later
The revolutionary movement came to an end when I told everyone the truth. Not in a million years would have I thought that my life can change so much in less than 2 months

From beating myself up about my parents and the 3 packs death, to finding out that I'm related to The Moon Goddess and to putting an end to a revolution

I shake away my thoughts when I hear a knock on the door. I let them come in and I see Chase
"What's up Chase?" He's been running away from the fact that Maya has left

"I can't keep doing this"
"Do what?"
"I-I miss her" he says looking at the ground
I sit up and walk towards him

"I know you do. And it's normal. She is your mate"
"That's the problem"
"What?" He sighs and looks up at me

"She's been lying to me about everything. She tried to actually kill you. And in spite of all of that... I still love her with all my heart. I just don't know what to do. I haven't heard anything from her and I feel like I'm going mad"

Chase runs his hand through his hair in frustration and I hug him. He was surprised but then relaxed and hugged me back

"I know it's hard for you. And if I could make this better I'd do it in a heartbeat, but right now we just have to wait for her. I killed her mother. That's something I don't know if she can forgive me for. I'm so sorry Chase. I never wanted for you to suffer"

"It's not your fault Evony and you know it. You were young. Things happen when you're a kid"
"Thank you"
We break the hug when we hear Blake clear his throat

"Are my gamma and The Blood Lycan doing fine?" He's been teasing me about my "title" ever since I first announced it in the battlefield. He says it's cheesy but I like it

"Depends on what you mean by fine, Alpha" I say and he rolls his eyes. I smirk when I see that he doesn't like me to address to him in that way

"Well we have a guest waiting for us in the conference room"
I look at Chase and I see his hopeful eyes. I smile at him and he zooms out of the room. Blake chuckles and takes me by the waist

"Your parents are so proud of you" his smile slips off of his lips at my words and now he's wearing a blank expression "How do you know?"
"How do you think I discovered my story?"
"Dad..."

"Yes, Colton. He said that they love you, miss you and that you have to stop blaming yourself. They are not mad"
"I haven't been blaming myself anymore"
"Blake..." I say with a warning tone

"You caught me. I still think that it's my fault"
"Well they want you to be happy and move on"
"He told you that too?"
"That I deduced"
"I don't know what to say"
"You don't need to say anything. I know how you feel and so does Anna and Colton. You're the only one who now discovered his feelings"

He smiles at me. I have seen him smiling just a few times so it's still new to me, but he makes my heart skip a beat every time I see him doing it. He cups my cheek, bends over and kisses me. Our first kiss. Shivers run up and down my back

I get this exciting feeling and I don't want this to ever end. I pull him by the shirt, closer to me and I could feel him smirk against my lips. We pull away and now we were smiling like two dorks

"Chase!" I squeal and pull him out the door. We got to the conference room and Chase was pacing in the hallway
"She's in there"
"Yes, she is. Now let's not keep her waiting any longer" I say

She stood in the farthest chair from the door. She was looking out the window when we entered. I could sense her uncertainty. When I see that neither Blake, nor Chase will begin the conversation I decide to speak up

"Maya" she turns around and I don't see her hatred towards me anymore
"I don't know how to address either of you. I don't even know if I'm in the pack anymore"

"I thought about that. You aren't after what you've done to my pack" Blake says and Chase looks disappointed

"I wouldn't have thought that it would be otherwise. But I want to say that I'm sorry for the bad things I've done to this pack. I did it all because I wanted revenge. Which I now know I don't need anymore. So if there is just one little chance of coming back, I'd do anything for it" she says this coming towards us

"As much as I'd like to exile you to another continent, I know Chase is gonna hurt. And I can't run this pack without my gamma. So my decision is based on these two" Blake motions to both of us

"Evony, I looked back on everything I've done and everything that you said and I do want to have a family again. So if that offers still stands, then as you said I'd do it in a heartbeat"
"You already knew that my offer wasn't going away"

"Thank you for your compassion. Chase I-" she tries to put her hand on his cheek but he moves away
"You hurt me Maya. You lied to me. Tried to kill my friend. Betrayed my pack. And left. How do you think that made me feel?"

"I'm so sorry Chase. I never meant for you to be hurt by my actions. I was driven by my anger and I didn't see that I mistreated you. How can I make it up to you?"

"You can't"
"Chase please" Maya starts crying
"You're talking about how you can make it up to me, but I don't know how to trust you again"
"I love you. I'm so sorry and I'm begging you to forgive me. I don't know what to do"

"Well this is the only thing we can do. You'll come back and you'll have to regain my trust day by day"
"You don't know how happy you made me"

"Now that everything is sorted out I think we're done here" Blake says and Maya and Chase leave
"So what now?"
"I think it's time for you to become part of my pack. Our pack. You being..."

"Your Luna"
"Only if you want"
"Of course I do"
"But before-"

"I didn't like being called that because I wasn't worthy of it"
"And now you are?" He asks teasingly
"You said it yourself. I'm The Blood Lycan" I say smiling
"Don't forget that revolution started because of you, Blood Lycan" he says guiding me out of the conference room
"Hey!"
