chapter 20: let's talk

=Y/n's point of view time skip a few weeks=

It's been more than a week since we arrived at the hashira's estate, I quickly recovered and started training right away

Right now we're at the insect pillar's estate, shinobu-sama was very nice but I could tell she felt really uneasy when talking to me, I observed how she would talk to the others her answers weren't short or to the point

On the bright side sabito and I became closer
Almost every night he'd ask me to walk around with him which always made my heart race and my cheeks color

"Senpai!" vuana squealed jumping around

"what? " I asked with a giggle

"tanjiro did It!!!, he went like fwppphh! Then boom! He was so cool!"

"really? That's great! " I exclaimed clasping my hands together above my chest

I just simply nodded and looked for him

It took a while but I finally found him

"sabito-kun! " I called while he turned and lifted up his mask to smile at me
It made me blush and shy

"do you need me? "he asked kindly walking closer

"Umm.. I-i uh" I was a stutterimg mess that I can look at him

"are you alright? "he put a hand on my shoulder, I lifted my head to meet his worried gaze over me

Oh sabito if only you weren't in a relationship I wouldn't feel this guilty liking or loving you

"eheheh... Sorry I was um uh" I coughed gathering my confidence "well vuana told me you were looking for me so I looked for you..?"
I mentally cursed to my self for making it sound like a question

"oh did she?, I don't actually know what you're talking about " he stated lifting up his hand to his chin

"um well I guess I'll go " I managed to pull up a smile under shame, quick turning my back to him and preparing to walk fast

"hey, I don't mind we can talk? " his hand grabbed my wrist as he said those while I turned to face him

My lips curved to a genuine smile as I followed him to a nice Area at the estate

Our talk was relaxing though I just couldn't help but adore his features, I know I've seen it more than a thousand times but still
Those purple eyes, drive me crazy...
His perfect jawline, his uniquely colored hair
His peachy scent that I could never get sick of
And specially those soft looking lips
That I wish I could kiss

But I still had to hold my feelings back, after all he is in a relationship, and he seems happy with them so why ruin his happiness?

"so I just wanna ask do you like someone? "
He asked I couldn't help but smile and look him in the eyes

The sun had already set... Now the moonlight and the soft glows of nearby lamps and the stars were our only light, the setting was peaceful and relaxing

"yeah... I do.. " was all I could say before getting lost in those purple eyes for the hundredth time

"Senpai! " dang it! Vuana you ruined it!

"comming! "

"hey we should, go I think dinner's ready" sabito said reaching out a hand
Of course I took it

It sent butterflies in my stomach the warm touch of his hand, and his gentle voice
Just amazing

It's late at night, and still I'm awake for no reason

"Senpai.. " vuana whispered, to be honest it's kind of annoying that she keeps calling me today

I hummed softly

"you know I'm afraid to die... " she said fear lingering her voice " after that last mission we had...I understand how precious life is, and well, right now I'm just enjoying it till it lasts.. "

She's right

"so I'm doing everything to the fullest and I want you to know that I love you...you're like a sister everytime I need some to hang your always there"

After those words of hers I immediately knew what I was going to do tomorrow night! I won't even know when I'm gonna die so if I'm going to die soon I want sabito to know how I really feel about him even if he loves me or not

"Heh sorry, I just needed to tell you that, jeez I've been hanging around zenitsu too much... Now I think like him-" I cut her off by hugging her tightly
