Chapter 57

     The wait was nerve wrecking, I didn't notice my heart was racing till the ultrasound tech walked in. "Hello, my name is Jerrica. You two ready for your ultrasound?" 

"I.. think we are..." Marci said as she looked at me as she laid on the hospital bed in her gown, naked from her waist down. 

I smiled a little as I nodded. "Okay let's get started." Jerrica put on gloves as she asked Marci to lay down. 

I was confused as she pulled out a wand looking thing and put a condom over it and for some odd reason she put some blue gel on top of the condom, "W-what is that?" I was worried and curious.

Jerrica looked at me, "Well because its so early in the pregnancy I can't check on the outside of her belly for the baby so we have to go in a different way." 

I was confused as I looked at Marci, her eyes widened. It made me a little nervous on what was going to happen next. I watched her closely as she asked Marci to lift her feet to the edge of the bed and to spread her legs as she took the wand as it disappeared underneath Marci's gown. She grabbed my hand as I would only assume she put it inside of her, 'What the fuck' is all I could think. "Okay we should see something... Soon.." She said as her arm moved around. 

I heard Marci grunting as Jerrica kept moving the thing around. We watched the screen as it was black grey and a little white. I seen some moving, maybe I seen a circle? or a blob? What was that? "Did anyone mention anything to you two about multiple pregnancies?" Jerrica asked as she continue to look at the screen. 

"I beg your pardon?" Marci asked as she looked at her then back to the screen. 

"Well hun if you look," she moved the screen towards us so we can see better, "there are two sacks and what I am seeing is two heartbeats." 

If my heart was beating fast before, it was nothing compared to how fast it was now, "Wait, wait, wait... Two?!" I asked confused. 

Jerrica looked at me funny, "There is two." 

I closed my eyes and shook my head as I tried to look for my voice again, "Hold on, hold on, hold on... How is there two? So there is two, two babies? Like the number two? Babies? For real?!" 

Marci looked at me embarrassed, "Bruno stop, there are two babies." 

I looked at Marceline again, "Two!" 

Jerrica looked at me and back at Marci then back at me, "Do you need to step outside sir?" 

I continued to look at the screen, "How do you know for sure if there is two? How-but-what?" 

Marci covered her face, I had a feeling I was probably embarrassing her even more but I had to know how this happened, how does it-- 'Oh shit..! Her brothers.' "Does twins run in your family?" Jerrica asked me as I shook my head. 

"Umm... No." 

I looked at Marci as she uncovered her face, "They run in my family." 

Jerrica nodded, "Well, there you go. Congrats you two. You have two little ones and the heart rates looks good. From the looks of it, they are a week and three days." 

I felt Marci squeeze my hand as the woman pulled out the wand looking thing as she discarded the condom. "I'll print these off and we'll set up your next appointment." 

I became lightheaded. The floor began to tilt, the room started to spin, as my skin began to heat up and I couldn't stop it. Jerrica printed off a few of pictures of "Baby A" and "Baby B" and one of them together and handed them to me. I took them as I starred at them. 'There are two.. There's really two. Two babies. A and B. Three pictures.' I kept thinking over again as I sat in the nearest chair trying to stop the floor from slipping from underneath me.
