A Slumberous Voice

Everything was dark and cold, I was practically shivering.

I was floating in a space-like realm with no gravity.

I was alone, but I don't feel like I was.

I felt nothing.

I have no idea where I was.

I have no memory of who I am.

'Why am I here?' I said to the darkness.

'You were chosen, child.'

'What do you mean?' Why do I act like I know who I'm talking to?

'You were chosen because you hold a greater power than most.'

'Are you some type of god?'

'We are what you believe, we do come in many forms, young one. But we will say that we are much more than a god.'

'You sure say "we" a lot.'

'Because we were formed into one being.'

'Then who are you?'

'What we are is what always lived inside you. You have seen us in person before.'

'I don't think I have...' Yeah, just put a riddle over another riddle to make it an answer.

'Of course you did, you awakened us during one of your battles. You're mother knew of this.'

I've always grown desperate whenever I hear something about her. I want to know more, but what does it mean that she knew?

'My mother, what do you know about her?.. can you please tell me more? I need to know who she was..'

'So much we could tell you, young one, but we cannot.'

'Why?..'

'It is about that time you must wake up. We'll see you in another time.'

'Wait..'

Then there was silence.

My questions still go unanswered.

The voice was gone, a sudden pressure starts to press against my chest.

I couldn't breathe.

I felt heavy as gravity begins to pull me down with full force.
