Lagravis was walking in the hall.

There was something wrong.

He could feel it.

Soon he was at Laval's door.

"Laval? Can I come in?" Lagravis asked.

There was no answer.

"Laval?" He tried again.

Silence.

Lagravis opened the door.

He stepped inside and gasped.

Laval was lying on the ground. He wasn't moving.

To Lagravis's horror, there was a bottle of pills lying on the ground beside his son.

"LAVAL!" Lagravis rushed to his son and pulled him in his arms.

"Laval, please answer me" Lagravis pleaded.

Lagravis searched for his son's pulse from his neck.

Nothing.

He tried from his wrist.

Nothing.

His son, his only reason to live. Was gone. Dead. He could never see his eyes again. His smile.

He could never hear his laugh or his voice again.

He wasn't here anymore.

"Laval please come back" Lagravis was crying his eyes out.

"I'm sorry Laval" Lagravis sobbed.

"I'm sorry I failed you"

Lagravis gasped as he sat up. He was covered in sweat, and his heart was beating from his chest.

He glanced at his alarm clock. 3.32 am.

Then he remembered.

Laval.

His mind started racing with thoughts.

He got up from his bed and walked to the door.

"Was that all a dream?" He thought.

But he saw him dead.

He didn't have a pulse.

Before he could even realize he was at his son's door. Once again.

"What if he isn't there? What if he really died and that it all was real?"

He opened the door slowly.

He peeked inside the room.

There he was, sleeping peacefully.

Lagravis stepped closer to his son. Laval's small and soft snores could be heard.

"So it had been a nightmare after all". Lagravis could only sigh in relief. His son was alive!

He stroked his son's cheek, carefully not to wake him up. Laval smiled slightly.

Lagravis kissed his forehead sweetly. "Sweet dreams" he whispered and made his way back to his bedroom.

His son was safe.

But he would still talk to him in the morning.
