Awe.

Life meant nothing,
until I found you.
Just like a sunset,
You gave my life hue,
beautiful brown tinted,
reflections in your eyes
hit different.

I turned my back,
but for a moment,
I lost sight.
Brown turned to blue
rivulets rushing, crushing,
cutting straight through,
still doubting, I refuse to find
someone new.

Is it my choice? Or is it my luck?
Perhaps karma, divine judgement.
I look back once again,
only to see you,
with someone you've blossomed with
Anew.

How can I love you,
when I don't love myself?
Dancing with people,
trying to come out of my shell.
Plenty of problems,
life is but a living hell.
Even the birds chirping remind me of my ignorance,
long lost remnants,
of us waking in each other's embrace.
