Jonouchi's POV

"F-F-F-Fangs...!" I yelped and retracted my claws, giving a gnarl. I pounced away from his reach and to his side, on the defense. He starred at me before standing, making me flinch and go back a step from my crouching position. He looked nonchalant, completely unfazed by my retreat.

He continued to look at me until his hand slid into his cloak and pulled out a roll of bandages. He looked into my hard eyes. "I managed to save these before we were attacked by your pack. I guess they now want both of us dead." My eyes widened at the mention of my former pack and what happened that night. I dropped my edge a bit, but still stayed crouched, ready to attack. "How long was I out for...?" I growled lowly. He gave me a grin, revealing one of his fangs. "About a day. And, by the way, that was my cave you slept in. You should ask before invading another's home."

I sat down on the floor, still cautious. "Well, thanks... I guess... And sorry for intruding." I apologized, the rocks on the floor seeming very fascinating at the moment as I looked away.

We didn't speak for a few minutes until he crouched down in front of me, bandages in hand, making me flinch. "I saw that you had some wounds and bandages that needed to be rewrapped. May I take a look at them?" I gave a cold hard stare before lowering my jacket from my arms and revealing my bruised arms. (Me: His shirt was short-sleeved.) Used bandages clung onto the wounds, bloody and worn-out. The vampire cautiously took off the bandages, revealing more wounds. He frowned, seeing my almost purple and red arms. Only specks of pale skin dotted my limbs.

I should have brought some medicine... These look bad..." He inspected the wounds.

He accidentally grazed one of the bruises with his cold finger, making me wince and flinch back. "Sorry," He quickly apologized. He soon wrapped the wounds tightly and backed up, in case I clawed him, being the animal I am. I quickly put on my jacket and quickly scanned the cave we were in. We weren't in the cave in the woods, that was for sure. We were behind a waterfall. The air was damp and humid, making my hair, ears, and tail moist a bit. I gently shook my body, ridding the water from my fur, and looked back at the vamp, who was still watching my every move.

Creepy... I thought.

"Why are we here?" I asked, looking around the cave. He crossed his arms over his chest and leaned against the stone wall. "After you crashed at my place, I went to go investigate your pack. I believe it was 'The Bloody Tooth?' Anyway, they caught onto my scent and also smelled your scent because I was with you. I quickly left, took you from the cave, and brought you here. The water should vanish any bit of odor we had for the time being, though we'll have to move sooner or later..."

I quietly stood up and scratched the back of my ear. "What do you mean by 'we?' As far as I'm concerned," I walked closer to the vampire until we were inches apart. "I can take care of myself. I'm a beast of the wild and I've been through way more than you'll ever be... Heir to the throne." My last words were cold and sharp. His eyes narrowed, a stone face took place from his cautious one. "How did you..." He began before I pointed to his neck. "I saw the little pic in your necklace and only one other person other than my pal looks like that: Atem Yami Sennen, the Future King of the Vampires. You must be his cousin..." I stepped back a step, ready to leave. "Seto Kaiba," I spoke.

He's one of the most dangerous vampires in these forests, probably the world since he's the prince. Vampires already piss me off, especially from what they did to my old man and my mother. His kinfolk are the reason why I'm parentless and alone. I despise them. My claws retracted again as I narrowed my eyes.
