Solangelo hs au fanfic|| more than a friend

Chpt 1

*A/N hey guys!! This is my first completed fanfic so I apologise if it's not the best. Feel free to point out mistakes and or fangirl in the comments. I also apologise for if the school they go to is unrealistic. I don't live in America -which is probably where a majority of wattpadders that speak English are from- so I don't really know how schools work over there. So sorry about that. 😅

Wills POV

I opened my eyes and blinked at the stream of sunlight coming in through my window. I bolted upright in my bed and hit my head on something above me. Hold on there was nothing above my bed in my room. Suddenly I remembered that we had just moved and I now shared a room with my younger brother Austin. I groaned and rubbed my head where it was sore and walked outside to get some breakfast. My sister Kayla was already up and making eggs. 'First day of school!' She shrieked when she saw me.

Nicos POV

I woke up later than I normally would on a school day and had to hurry to get breakfast ready. I grabbed my books and shoved them in my backpack before heading out the door. I put my earphones in my ears and turned on my music. I listened to the music on my phone for the entire walk to school. When I got to school I stood by my first class and glared at everyone who came close.

Wills POV

When my mum dropped us off to school me and my siblings went our seperate ways. Kayla and Austin going to their next class and me just going to the office to collect my timetable. I got my timetable and headed to my first class; A double period of history. I rounded the corner to where my history class was and knocked on the door as I was late. A man opened the door and said 'ah. You must be our new student. My name is Mr Chiron.'

'Hello!' I said, 'I'm Will.'

Me Chiron told me to find a seat. There were only a couple of seats left so I took one at the back next to a kid reading a book. I couldn't see their face until Mr Chiron asked a question and he lowered the book.

'Mr diAngelo?' He asked, 'could you tell me what I just asked you?'

The kid lowered the book and rolled his eyes before glaring at everyone. 'You asked me how many muses there are in Greek mythology.' He had a slight Italian accent and he was obviously an emo. But... he was actually kinda... cute. I know what your thinking; whoa Will, your gay?! My answer is yes. I am gay. But no one knows. Not even Kayla and Austin know. I can't let anyone know.

I turned to the cute boy and introduced myself; 'hi! My name is Will!' I said extending my hand to him.

'Nico, Nico diAngelo.' He said though he just stared at my hand.

'Uh. Well my next class is in C block. You know where that is right?' I asked blushing and lowering my hand.

'Yeah. I'll show you around at break since you clearly do not know where anything is.' He rolled his eyes but I swear I saw the corners of his mouth curve into a smile just for a nanosecond before glaring again.

Nico's POV

Yeah I know your thinking, what the hell nico you'd never agree to show someone around. And believe me I know. But there was just something about him. I couldn't work out what though. The bell rang and I glanced back to the teacher and felt my cheeks get warmer. I told myself I wasn't blushing and walked out of the classroom with Will. I showed him where we eat, where all the classrooms where and then I showed him the library.

'Well, this is where I leave you. Bye.'I rushed away from him without letting him say anything. In the library I peered through one of the curtains and watched him walk away with a frown on his face no doubt wondering why I had rushed off. During the tour I had figured out why I felt so awkward around him. And as weird as it was to admit it. It was because I thought he was hot. I'd had crushes on guys before so I figured this one out fairly quickly. Thankfully it hadn't turned into a crush. And I didn't intend to let it. I found a book to read and shoved my face into one of the beanbags and blushed. I tried distracting myself by reading for a while it worked. But soon after the bell rang and I went to my next class I stopped abruptly as I saw Will. I turned around and went to the back of the Line to get into my class. I got into class and sat down in the back away from Will who was sitting in the middle of the classroom and turned towards me and gave me a confused look. I felt like I was about to blush so I quickly rolled my eyes and put my head in my arms and pretended I was tired. Out of the corner of my eyes I saw Will turn back around so I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding and sat back up.
