Chapter 17

It had been a couple of days since Bella went to go save the Cullen. Charlie was absolutely crazy at the fact that she hadn't been home. Evelyn still had the pain in her chest because of her sister but that didn't stop her from worrying about her. Charlie and Evelyn had went to Harry's funeral and had given Sue, Seth, and Leah as much support as she could give them. Seth has really gotten close to Evelyn and they hung out almost every week. She had even gotten Leah to open up to her. Their relationship grew more and more as they saw each other. Evelyn knew Leah had needed someone her age to support so she decided she would be that person.

The day of the funeral, no one was prepared for; everyone had tears in their eyes as they watched Harry's casket lower into the ground. She held on to Jacob's had the whole time and neither of them wanted to let go. After the funeral, Evelyn had felt a hatred for every single vampire. She hated them for taking her sister and she ahted them for taking Harry.

Even with everything happening to her, Evelyn and Jacob never grew apart. If she wasn't with Seth and Leah she was with Jake. Those three were the only people bringing her some type of happiness. Jacob had reminded her everyday that he loved her and would never leave. She was sure he was getting tired of it but he never stopped once and that just made her love him even more.

Even the pack had given her some mental support. They didn't know what she was going through, but they all put all of their effort into smiling. This had made the love had for the people she considered brother grow so much more. It made her feel like she always had a family with her. Sam had even gave Evelyn a small break so that she could cope with her feeling. But after a while she came to patrolling to distract herself.

Evelyn had started to feel more and more content with the family that she had on the rez when her sister had returned from wherever she was. Evelyn froze when she saw her sister. Bella tried to give her sister a small smile but Evelyn didn't return it.

"I'm gonna go ahead and guess that he's alive" Evy said causing Bella to nod in response

".....I need to bring you somewhere Evy. Please."

"What the hell else do you want me to do Bella? You want me to kill myself for you now?" Evelyn tired of doing everything for her sister and getting noting in return

"Evy please just come with me" Bella pleaded

The two girls had made their way into the woods across their home. She saw that all of the Cullen had been gathered there and she tensed up when she saw Edward.

"Thank you for this. You all know what I want and I know how much I'm asking for so I think it's fair to just vote" Bella started

"Are we seriously doing this Bella?" Evelyn looked at her in a pained surprise

Bella ignored her, "Alice?"

"I already consider you a sister so yes" Alice smiled

"I vote yes. It would be nice not to want to kill you all the time" Jasper spoke up

"I'm sorry. I really am. I'm really happy that you were brave enough to save my brother but this isn't a life I would've chosen for myself and I wish someone had been there to vote for me. So no" Rosalie said

"I vote hell yea" Emmett countered his wife's answer

"I already consider you apart of the family so yes" Esme smiled

"You've chosen not to live without her so it leaves me no choice. I won't lose my son" Carlisle said

Evelyn stood there frozen at what was happening right now.

"Evy?" Bella snapped her out of her frozen state

Evelyn didn't speak for a few moments, "It doesn't matter does it? The choice has been made." Evy looked at her sister woth tears in her eyes

She walked up to her sister and just looked at her for a few moments, "I knew I lost you the day you went after him but I didn't think I lost you this much Bella." a tear fell from her eye, "I know how much he means to you but please Bella think about your humanity" she begged

"I choose him Evelyn" Bella said

Evelyn had to stop a sob from breaking out of her, "Umm wow.... ok. I hope you're happy Bella. I wish the best life and you will always be my older sister. But I'm going to have to let you go"

"Please Evy don't do this" Bella tried to reason

"I have no choice Bella. I'm a wolf and you're gonna be a vampire. I can't associate with any of this" Evelyn said putting her hand out motioning the rest of the family

Bella just looked at Evelyn, "Fine, then I guess we're no longer sister then"

Evelyn let another tear drop, "I guess we're not" she replied and walked out the woods.
