" stupid steve with his stupid cute hair and his stupid cute laugh and his stupid per-Y/N PLEASE SHUT UP!"max screamed at me looking to me in the mirror. i rolled my eyes and went back to thinking of how stupid steve was and how he was and idiot. i heard the clock tick and that's when i realized. i was late. "shit" i got up quickly pulled on my scoops ahoy outfit and drove to the mall. once i got there i clocked in my shift and hoped steve wouldn't give me a hard time today for being late. well as i had hoped steve had left me alone and minded his business."welcome to scoops ahoy, what could i get you to today" i said in a monotone voice. the guy who looked to be atleast 40 looked me up and down while licking his lips. i mentally cringed but kept on my smile. he looked at the menu and asked for a strawberry cheesecake ice cream. he payed and i went to hand him his ice cream until he grabbed my wrist and whispered in my ear " you're beautiful why don't you come with me" i tried to pull my wrist away but he just tightened his grip
"steve!" i yelled for him in the back. he came out with an annoyed look on his face. but once he saw what was happening his annoying had turned to anger. he ripped my arm away from the guys grip and got up in his face " get out now" steve practically growled the man winked at me and walked away without his ice cream. steve looked to me
" are you okay?" he asked concern laced his voice. " yea i think so" my voice shaked so it didn't sound very convincing. steve ended up taking my shift while i sat quietly in the back. my mom called scoops and asked for me to come home. i walked up to steve "thank you for what you did today. it was really nice of you" i turned on my heel ready to walk away when he turned me around " y/n i have to tell you something" my heart skipped a beat "what is it?" he breathed in deeply" ok so ilikeyoulikealot" he said quickly. "what?" i asked. steve took me by my face and kissed me. i was suprised at first but i slowly melted into the kiss. we pulled away out of breath. i smiled at him" see you tomorrow steve" i leaned up and kissed him on the cheek. i walked out of scoops ahoy with a smile on my face for the first time in a while.
