"yeah like you arent scared of needles?" he widened he eyes then sniffed the other direction before looking back at me
"kid if you scared of water then how come last month you where able to 'endure' it"
"uh....almost drowned?" he arched his eyebrow at me
"what that a question or a statement" ha you tell me
"statement?" he sighed as he lowered his suit down to the ground near the lake
"honestly your making this harder then it is you have a day A DAY pete to take one and dont expect to be in my lab if you dont smell like sunshine and rainbows okay?" i huffed at that i was about to retort but he left before i could i slumped down to the ground and sighed how the f*ck am i supposed to get things to fix this thing? *sigh* then i widened my eyes its a horrible idea it may be a risk but it'll still work and...well im desprate so....i pulled out the phone from my pocket it fumbling on my hands before i finally caught it properly and dialed neds number
"hey peter!" god i hate putting him in a position like this i let out an awkward chuckle
"hey neeeeddd my buddy, my guy in the chair! whtchu up to?"
"..." it was silent for a while in the other end of the line i looked down at the grass and started tapping my finger at it nervously please let his parents not be home
"*sigh* what did you do now peter?"
"your parents home?"
"uh...no but-" thats all i needed to hear i know it was rude but i dont know how long this thing will take to fix and i had to go to the lab tommorow so i hung up the phone and strted swinging to his place

"scared of water my ass" i landed on the roof of the tower and the suit coming of me and i couldnt help but gulp at the kids words
'what happened to the apathetic man?' did i go too far? shit if he realized that i cared for him would he be in danger? should i let him out of my trust circle i pursed my lips as i walked to the elevator i just need to distract myself thats it if you forget about it then it never happened right?
