Mari's POV
As I was pulling into my work, I couldn't stop thinking about the beauty at the Starbucks drive-thru. Walking through the front doors of my office building, I began formulating a plan to see her again and get her number. While riding the elevator to my personal office on the top floor, I decided that I would just go back on my lunch break. I hoped she would still be working. Finally, deciding to stop obsessing over my possible future and get some work done, I sat at my desk and turned my monitor on.
I work at an editorial firm as chief executive editor. All that basically means is that I read through various manuscripts and correct the mistakes. It's might sound boring but I actually love it. I remember the day Al  talked me into interviewing for the internship at this company. It was the summer before our senior year in college. Now, 6 years later, thanks to her I'm working my dream job. She always pushed me to be my best.
My phone ringing effectively broke me from my increasingly depressing thought process. Snapping out of my melancholy daze I answer the phone seeing that it was my brother.
I have four siblings, which include: 2 brothers and 2 sisters. I'm the oldest along with my twin brother Messiah. We're 26. Then there's Marley(a boy) and Blake(a girl), who are ten months apart. They're the middle children and they're 19. The there's Miley. She's our 3 year old baby sister and a she's a little firecracker. Now that that's settle let's see who it was calling.
"What is it Marley?" I say with a smirk. Every time he calls while I'm at work it's a dumb mistake we gotta fix before mom and dad get home.
"Bro, can you call Blake? I was picking at her and I accidentally brought up Ronnie. Then she just got quiet, grabbed her shit, and left."
"Fuck man. You're an idiot" I said with a groan and hung up. I then called Blake who answered on the third ring.
"What's up boogie", She said with the thickness of tears coating her voice making it raspy.
"Where you at pooh", I asked with concern and pity lacing my words.
"The Starbucks by your job", she said with a sad chuckle. We both knew she was hoping I'd call and come find her.
"I'm on my way, I love you."
"Love you too boogie."
Guess I'll be seeing my mystery beauty a lot sooner than planned.
