✬﹒⁺﹒YUNSEO has never been satisfied with her life: it's boring, repetitive and monotonous. Every single breath is just painful for her, her passion for her job slowly sliding away...

If Yunseo had a choice, she would still be in bed, she'd still be cocooned in her quilt, shrouded by the warmth that would radiate around her. If she had a choice, she wouldn't be stood outside a coffee shop at 6am, solidifying with every passing second, she would be lounging about her house, still in her pyjamas, her nose buried deep in a book with more pages than she had braincells. But Yunseo didn't have a choice, she didn't have the option to choose what she wanted to do - she had to do as she was told. Oh how she heard the nagging voice of her mother in her ear as she recalled the infamous "Sheep and Shepard'' lecture that she had received before moving to Seoul, one filled with condescending remarks, hinting at how Yunseo's mother thought she was never going anywhere with the career that she had chosen, how she should have followed in her brothers steps and become a doctor or an accountant like her sister.
It pained Yunseo to look back on what she had done over the last 7 years in Seoul and realise that her mother was right; even after this long, she was still performing the same gruelling thing over and over again, buying her co-workers coffee so they could have a fun day investigating while she sat down doing paperwork for them. She had quite literally come to nothing in her job, Sunhye even described Yunseo as the only person who could make a good, interesting job and turn it into a gruelling dead end job. That was such a confidence boost for her!
Stuffing her hands firmly into her pockets, Yunseo cleared her throat, tilting herself to the side - she had to get an idea of how long she would be waiting in this queue for. A buzz on her phone alerted her, causing her to straighten back up, probably a message from Sunhye asking her to grab her a doughnut or something. Bringing the phone out of her pocket, the raven haired girl tiredly unlocked her phone, sighing as she looked at the message. 'Oh God,' she thought to herself as she double checked that she wasn't misreading it.
Xiaojun :: Hey, Yunseo - I know we promised to not talk to each other again, but there's something at mine and I think you might want to come and pick it up. Xiaojun :: Preferably before work?
Angrily stuffing her phone in her back pocket, Yunseo folded her arms across her chest, her jaw clenching. God, she hated Xiaojun, that smug son of a goat always had to find a way to embarrass her, had to find a way to talk to her no matter how much the two of them said that they wouldn't after the break up. One thing that got to Yunseo is how often her stuff appeared in his apartment, even if they broke up nearly 5 months ago: she was good at hiding stuff, but bloody hell she wasn't that forgetful.
"I 100% bet that he has a box full of your stuff and cries over it until he gets bored," Sunhye commented, raising her eyebrows and stuffing a doughnut in her mouth. "That's why he asks you to come and get stuff every month."
Rolling her eyes, Yunseo simply rested her head on her hand, looking up at her best friend - letting out a small snicker. Sure, she was still a little upset about her breakup, but by God did Sunhye know how to make it into a comedic stunt. Sitting back up straight, the girl simply shrugged, tiredly raking back her hair, allowing it to bounce back into place.
