Kimblee faded in and out of consciousness as he was taken to the hospital. The alchemist was unable to feel anything, the numbness took control of his body and mind. He heard a familiar voice talking next to his ear, although it all came to his brain underwater; he was unsure whether they were coming from his head or not. No matter how hard he attempted to fully revive himself, he couldn't.

Blurry. Everything was blurry.

The flash flood of memories was overwhelming. It was a kaleidoscope of emotions, anger, hate, fear, everything that suffocated him.

His body was stiff from not moving along with the fact he was wrapped tight in bandages and gauze. He creaked open his eyes in hopes of letting someone nearby know that he was conscious. But nobody came.

Tears flooded his cheeks, blurring his vision of his blood-stained hospital gown. He closed his lids, the sight of himself made him shudder. He was beyond repulsed. The alchemist didn't speak one word when he was awake. It was far too painful, like everything else. He closed his eyes and fell into unconsciousness.

Soon after he reawakened, a nurse entered the small hospital room. She changed the bag of blood, connected to an IV in his arm. He watched her through tearful eyes as she worked. With a swift gesture, she removed the needle from its respectful vein, changing the barrel. She caught his gaze and forcefully shoved the newly changed IV back into his arm. Before she left the room, she served a silent glare, slamming the door behind her.

She was as disgusted with him as he was with himself.
