"Flight 929 from Manila, Philippines to Sydney, Australia is now boarding. Please line up according to your boarding groups," The flight attendant announces over the speakers. I open my eyes and groggily walk to the line of people. Thankfully, I was in boarding group A so I get to go inside first. Yes, sleep!

After the lady scans my boarding pass, I thank her and walk down the bridge where I am greeted by more flight attendants at the entrance of the plane.

What am I doing in flying to Sydney in the middle of May you ask? Well, my term at Ateneo de Manila Uni just ended, so I'll be spending a weekend with my mom's friend, Kate, in Australia before flying to France for the rest of summer.

I look back at my boarding pass and try to find my seat, 17C. Oh fuck yeah, I get window seat! I try to lift my carry-on luggage to the overhead compartments, but I struggle. Thankfully, one of the attendees helps me.

"I can help, miss," He says, taking my baby blue luggage and placing it in the compartment.

"Thank you!"

I sit down in the window seat, put my hoodie and AirPods on, pressing 'play' on LANY. I finally buckle up the seatbelt before laying my head against the seat.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we apologize for the delay; but we are waiting on one last passenger. Don't worry, he has just gone through security." The flight attendant says once again over the speakers as I lightly fall asleep.
