"I don't think that's normal." Chase whispers into my ear from behind. I shake my head.

"Is Sherlock behind me?" I say sarcastically.

'Tick tock tick tock.'

"Sorry, dumb question." Chase apologises.

"No probs. Just please do me a favour and shut up." I say as politely as I can. He laughs gently.
I listen intently.

The rythm, seems familiar. I remember tampering with one of them before.
It's a bomb.

"It's a bomb dumbo." I raise my voice from freaking out. He looks at me.

"Sorry, I'm just worried. Listen, were do you think you can hear the tick tick coming from?" I ask him, he nods his head.

"Azar, call the others and tell them please." I ask him and hand him my phone.

"Sure thing."
I listen closely.
My body freezes, my mind is the only thing working. My hearing sharpens, my sight zooms in.
The perks of being an assassin.
Your senses sharpen and suddenly everything big and little thing is dead serious and important.

'Tick Tock Tick Tock'

The sound ticks directly in front of me. Venturing off to around my left. It's a bomb, only small enough to blow up a car.

"They evacuated the cars, Coles looking for the bomb." Azar says quietly.

"Thanks Mate." I thank him.

"I'll give you a proper thanks later.
Can everyone please get out of the car?" I whisper quietly, I think the bomb, being from Age, would be noise activated. To much noise and KA BOOM!

"And be very very quiet." I add on quietly.

"Here's your phone." Chase whispers in my ear and passes me my phone, Azar must've gave it to him.

"Thanks, now jump out of the car, try and reach a 3 metre radius away from the car. The bombs widening it senses, it's ready to explode just needs to have the sound to trigger it." I whisper as quietly as I can. Chase's eyes bulge out of his head.

"It's senses are widening?!" He says flabbergasted. I nod.

"Exactly, that's what those light are doing on the ground." I point downwards.

"There's no lights, My." Chase shakes his head.

"Oh."
There are lights I swear, whenever I look on the ground theres a red line forming the shape of a circle, it's telling me how quiet we have to be and how far away we need to be.

"But I swear there are." I shake my head worrying about my craziness, I'm not going insane am I?

"Hey, don't worry. It's probably another upside of the Challa." Chase whispers and then he jumps out of the car.

"He's probably right." I assure myself.

"Come on, My!" Cole's voice echoes from about 100 metres away. He's safe.

"G-" I stop myself from shouting. So close.

The lines getting away from jumping distance.

I do before I think.

I jump, then tuck and roll.

Did I make it?

I rip my head upwards, blow the leaves away from my mouth and look beneath me.

My body made it over including my legs. But one foot, didn't.
It's literally just the toe.
The next few seconds take forever. I don't know if I should take my foot out of the barrier like thing, or not to.
I decide to take it off.

That's when the whole world speeds up.

The burning sensation rips up my legs, then my back.

The burning sensation numbing all of my senses. I curl in a ball. Shrapnel finds places in my back. The burning stops.
And my world was filled with black.
I don't feel anything, I don't smell anything, I don't see anything.
There are no emotions.
There is no smell.
There is nothing to see.

It's the dark abyss.

I'm dead. Or dying.
