Epilogue

(NAGISA'S POV)

"Eh?! Wait?! What?! They're dating!?" I exclaimed in surprise as I shot up from the bed, looking at Karma incredulously. Then my faced heated up in embarrassment for that sudden outburst. I cleared my throat as I lied back down to his side, "Are you sure about that?"

"Nakamura told me. She and Kayano confirmed it from Sugino," he said, wrapping his arm back around me. "I guess that's bound to happen."

I looked at Karma, still in disbelief. Just a several months ago, Asano and Sugino wanted to separate me and Karma from each other and now... they're dating. I wonder what happened?

"That's an unexpected turn of events..." I said, looking up at Karma before smiling. "Perhaps they found the love and happiness they deserve from one another."

"Yeah, and it's good for them." He mumbled, pulling me closer to him.

"I'm really happy for them. It reminds me so much of how I finally found my happiness after meeting you," I chuckled.

"You know, Nagisa. At first, I only want to be close to you because you were interesting since you were always so emotionless and I've told myself I'm gonna make you smile," he said as his lips turned into a soft grin. "But I never thought that would lead me to falling in love with you. You were the one who taught me how to care and to love someone."

My face became flustered upon hearing that as I averted my gaze, not really knowing how to respond. I felt him cup my chin as he leaned his face closer to mine,

"Before, I only wanna see you smile," he whispered. "But now, I wanna cherish your smiles too."

I felt his lips against mine, tears just suddenly escaped from eyes. It was only a chaste kiss and as Karma pulled away, I felt his thumb wiping my tears away as he looked at me with worry. He was about to say something when I held his hand that was caressing my face.

"I'm so happy that I got to meet you. I'm so happy I wanna die," I said, chuckling.

"Hey, don't you dare die on me," he said, caressing my cheek. "I'm still going to marry you."

"M-Marry me?" I stuttered, face burning up at what he said.

He suddenly sat up and reached for his bag that was on the foot of the bed, rummaging for something. I sat up as well, looking at him in confusion.

"Soon, I'm gonna marry you but for now," my eyes widened when he revealed a small, red box in his hand. He opened it revealing two golden rings. "Please stay by my side till then."

I only stared at Karma, momentarily speechless as he gently took my hand with a hopeful smile. I nodded with an ecstatic smile, "Yes, I promise."

Karma slipped the ring in my finger. I held my hand up with the ring on and I saw words engraved on it. "Mon bonheur?"

"That means 'my happiness'," Karma said as he leaned his forehead against mine, intertwining our fingers together.

Unexplainable and intense emotions suddenly bubbled up inside me when I saw the rings on our ring fingers. It was so intense that I felt like it was overwhelming me.

I really am so lucky to have Karma.

"Karma, thank you," I whispered. "I love you... So much."

"So do I, Nagisa. More than you could ever imagine," Karma said, pulling me to his lap before tilting his head to the side as he captured my lips. I closed my eyes, melting into his kiss. It was only a quick yet passionate kiss and it was enough for us to convey our overwhelming feelings.

"This Sunday is Dad's death anniversary," I informed looking up to stare at Karma's mercury eyes. "I want to visit him together with you and introduce you to him, is that alright?"

Karma nodded with a hum, "I'd love to, Nagisa."
