Maki was pacing back and forth, nervously fidgeting with her hair and the ring

"Maki, you've been with kirumi for almost 3 years, it's going to be ok"

"But what if she's not ready, and she says no!"

"Not gonna happen, I promise that, you are going to be fine, everything is going to be fine" kaito reassured, he pat maki's head multiple times before she got annoyed and shooed his hand away

"It's gonna be ok, just act all casual, and do it, probably shouldn't do it in a public place, lots of people" kaito said

"Y-yeah, I'll just ask her out on a date, maybe a coffee date and I will propose, sometime during then" Maki said, slightly regaining her confidence

"Yeah! Now go get her, I have to go convince kiibo to help me with something" kaito walked out of maki's apartment

Kirumi was out at the moment so she wasn't there to hear that conversation, maki walked to her night stand and put the ring in the drawer under some paper so the box wasn't visible

Kirumi walks in with grocerys, and she announces that she's home, this scares maki and she quickly closed the drawer and stumbled out the bedroom door

"Hi! Babe! U-uhhh what did you ummm get" very smooth Harukawa

"You ok?"

"Y-yeah I'm fine, let me help you put those away" maki walked up and grabbed a couple of bags and started putting them away

Kirumi smiled as she sees maki nervously putting things away, she walks over to put things away with maki

They finished and walked into the bedroom to lay down for a bit, maki cuddled kirumi and kissed her neck alot

"Maki, don't try to start something, you know you won't be able to go through with whatever you try to do" kirumi laughed, and looked at Maki

Maki's face was red and she stopped, she also moved away from kirumi and angrily turned around to ignore kirumi

Kirumi smiled as she turned to cuddle Maki, she immediately calmed down and smiled, but remembered she had to be angry so tried to shoo kirumi away, but it didn't work and let kirumi cuddle her

"You're adorable" kirumi said

Maki smiled and looked up and kirumi
"Do you want to go on a date today, maybe a simple coffee date?" Maki asked

"Oh! Sure, I would love to, what time do you want to leave?" Kirumi asked

"We could leave now, or later if you want"

they got up from the bed and went to go get dressed, Maki picked up a mini backpack to bring with her, just in case they walk into some stores, she waited till kirumi left the room to grab the box and put it in her pocket, maki then made sure she had her phone and wallet and walked out with kirumi
every 5 minutes maki would pat her pocket to make sure the ring was still there, they walked into the coffee shop and saw mukuro working the counter
