Adoption

Kara woke up to the smell of pancakes and bacon and slowly climbed out of her bed and saw Barry speeding around the kitchen while listening to music. She saw this and tried her hardest not to laugh but ultimately failed and burst out laughing. Barry turned around and saw Kara laughing he was a bit embarrased but started laughing along with her. Once the laughter died down a bit they started eating their food. 

"Hey Kara, we need to go to Joe's house for something important" Barry said barely able to contain his smile.

"Okay."  

"And you'll be able to meet my foster sister, Iris, you'll love her." Barry said, Kara noticed his smile and found it amusing and just assumed it was because he was seeing Joe. 

Once they were done Barry and Kara went to go get ready 

"Kara are you ready to go?" Barry asked

"Yeah, I just can't tie these laces." She said frowning

"Don't worry." Barry said kneeling down and tying her laces 

"Thanks Barry." She said warmly. He was like the father she never had. Someone she could rely on no matter what.

"No problem, now let's go" Barry said as Kara nodded.

She hopped on his back and he sped them there. Once they arrived he knocked on the door and Iris answered 

"Hey Barr." She said from the door 

"Hey Iris, this is Kara and Kara this is Iris" Barry said 

"Hi" Kara said a bit shyly 

"I've heard a lot about you." Iris said looking at Barry with a smile because now she knew why they were here. 

"Here c'mon in Dad and Cecile are waiting for you" She said 

"Thanks." Barry said as he walked in with Kara who was holding his hand 

"Hey Joe, Hey Cecile" Barry said putting his coat on the hanger 

"Hey Barr." Joe said excitedly from his chair 

"Hey Barry." Cecile said sharing Joe's excitement 

"Hey Kara, why don't you go talk with Iris for a bit while me, Joe and Cecile have talk, okay?" Barry said 

"Okay..." She said a bit nervously. 

"It's okay Kara, you can trust her" Barry said and smiled warmly at her. Iris saw this from her spot and smiled at the father-daughter bond that was soon going to be official. 

 "Okay" She said and walked over to Iris who had a big book in her lap 

"What's that" She said as she pointed to the book on Iris' lap 

"This is a photo album full of photos from when Barry was younger." Iris said and Kara ran over and sat next to her. The two were looking through the photos and laughing. Barry loved seeing Iris get along with Kara. 

"Ready Barry?" Cecile said as she handed the papers to Barry 

"As ready as I'll ever be...." Barry said as he signed every form he needed 

Once he was finished signing the papers, Cecile made a phone call and once that ended she smiled over at Barry and Joe.

"It's official, you're her legal father and guardian." She said with a massive smile. He walked over and hugged Cecile.

"Thank you so much." Barry said as he pulled away from the hug 

Barry look at Joe who nodded then to Iris who nodded as well. So Barry walked over to the two and knelt in front of Kara who was busy looking at the album.
