The reasons Ruth's stage name is Chunseo is because her real name is hard to pronounce in Korean. Also her name isn't pronounced as Ruth (English/American pronunciation) so you should understand that it would be better to have a different name than a name that people can't pronounce (unless you're from where she's from).
The reason why she chose the name Chunseo was because she was a big fan of Teen Top (a kpop group) and their fandom name was Angel (천사 Cheonsa) so she wanted a stage name similar to that (천서 Cheonseo/Chunseo).
Nicole and Chunseo did a Instagram live on Tuesday 12th May 2020. In that live Nicole explained that Chunseo has used that stage name for several years. Monica (their producer) thought it would be a good idea if she used that as her stage name for Kaachi.
I don't think people should hate her for having a Korean stage name because there are plenty of Korean idols who have English/American stage names.
