Together they built whatever Ahsoka was trying to built there.

Anakin just didn't understand.

It looked a little bit like a roof, just not completely.

They had placed the branches so that they created a chess pattern.

„You know, it rains through, do you?" he asked the girl.

She nodded.

„It's not a roof. It's to smoke the fish, so that we'll have something to eat in the winter."

He nodded, acting like he understood. He didn't.

„Okay what now?"

„Go and help Master Kenobi collect Firewood. I'm making the arrows."

He turned to go. Than hesitated.

„You're nit going to do anything stupid?" he made sure.

„Don't need to stand up while making the arrows. Don't worry." she replied, giving him a smile.

He turned back and started to walk. While leaving the clearing he bit his lip, then forced the words out of his mouth.

„Even if the winter is going to kill us otherwise. I can't watch you hurt yourself to save us."

Before she could answer him he left the clearing.

Ahsoka sighed.

She wished she could tell him. Tell him what she was trying to do.

It was her instinct to protect them. To protect her ‚tribe'.

She grew up with this. It was implanted in her mind the same, as all these survival stuff was.

Things that were so natural, for her.

Things she had known for so long, that she couldn't remember learning them.

She knew the winter would kill her friends if she didn't did anything against it. And of course she knew that Anakin hated to see her in pain.

She knew that he was scared that she would accidentally kill herself. That she'd do so much to save them, that she wouldn't make it.

But she wouldn't make it anyway.

She knew that and Rex knew that as well.

So she wanted at least to make sure, that the others made it.

They had a chance. A bigger one than her.

And she'd do anything to make sure they survived.

The pain in her leg told her, that she didn't have much time left to prepare everything to get them over the winter, so she had to hurry.

She rubbed her leg and started with the arrows.

She needed to get them ready and to catch an Animal fast.

She needed to smoke the flesh, before she was unable to do so.

The others needed it.

She carefully removed the bandaged around her leg and looked down at the  wound.

The wound was swollen and the yellow liquid around it didn't make it better.

She knew that it was infected.

To much to survive it out here. With no medical help.

She took a handful of the leaves, Rex had brought her and laud them on top, before redoing the bandage.

She had her reasons to send Rex out collecting plant roots, herbs and such stuff.

It relieved the pain a bit, but it wouldn't help much longer.

She stood up, with the one finished arrow and one of the bows.

This was going to hurt, but she had to do it.

For her friends.
