You had never been more nervous or anxious to go to work than you were on Monday morning. You had thought all weekend about what happened on Friday night, and you were still thinking about it now.

You decided to get to work early so you could already be working when Junmyeon arrived. Your plan was foiled, however, when you walked in and saw he was already there. So now you were the only two people in the office.

...Great.

You immediately headed to your desk, crossing your fingers Junmyeon wouldn't try to talk to you.

But, of course. He did.

He stood at his door and called out your name. You looked up out of instinct, and when your eyes locked, he motioned for you to come to his office.

Obviously, you obeyed. You were a top-notch employee after all.

Once you got to his office, you closed the door behind you and sat down in the seat you'd become too familiar with over the past month or so.

"Y/N, please let me explain," he began.

"You don't need –"

"Hear me out. Please."

You pressed your lips together to stop yourself from saying anything else. If there was anything you were good at, it was listening.

"Yes, I was drunk on Friday night. I said things I shouldn't have. I did things I shouldn't have. I crossed a line. And I might have done all that because of the alcohol, but that doesn't mean I made everything up. I meant every word, and... I'm having trouble regretting it."

"But... you specifically said no office romance."

"I know. That's why I don't plan to pursue this."

Okay, but why did your heart fall? Did you even like him? You didn't really know him beyond his persona as a boss, and that persona was pretty harsh. But...that face. And that kiss. There was a reason you'd been thinking about it all weekend.

I mean... there was nothing wrong with just having a little fun, right? But apparently, Junmyeon thought something was wrong with it. Or you. Or both.

Junmyeon could tell you were disappointed (which made him far too satisfied), so he looked you square in the eye. "That's why I don't plan to pursue this...during work hours."

You furrowed your brow at him, wondering if you were hearing him correctly. So... he did want to... Did you even know what he wanted to do? Date you? Kiss you? Something else?

"Just to be clear," you began, shifting a bit uncomfortably in your seat. "You remember everything that happened on Friday night, right?"

Junmyeon chuckled a little, but it was an admiring kind of chuckle. "Yes, I remember. You took me home, you made me soup, I confessed how I really feel about you, we kissed - a very good kiss, mind you - I said something stupid, as male human beings are wont to do, and then you left. I don't blame you. But... I can't stop thinking about you still. And I have a feeling you've been thinking about our kiss, too."

You immediately felt your cheeks warm, and you knew he got his answer. Of course, you had. You were getting restless thinking about it now.

Junmyeon checked his watch, smirking a little. "It's technically not yet work hours..."

"Hmm, interesting." You pressed your lips together, hoping your racing heart wasn't making your voice tremble. "I came to get an early start, though, so I'll just head back."
