Chapter 22

As I woke up I felt some strong ass arms around my waist. I looked up to see Yami still sleeping like a little baby. I cupped his face and kissed his forehead as I tried to get up but his grip was too strong. I groaned as I lightly tapped him awake and he was not happy.

" You owe me some ass" Yami said as I hit him on his chest as he laughed

" Oh shut up, we need to get up so we can hopefully train but I got a message from Julius

" W-wait did you get this message" I asked Yami as I got up

" What is it about" Yami asked as he hugged me from behind as I sat in his lap

" There is a festival and tournament to find the strongest captain and Julius says that it's something to stir the kingdom away from any sense of terror" I said as I looked back as he smiled

" Of course I knew and it starts today, I thought you knew" Yami said as he placed his face in the croak of my neck

" I wouldn't be surprised if I knew about it" I said as I got up and pulled Yami in the shower so we can quickly leave

~few hours later~

" I can't believe you didn't know about the captain's face offs" Anthony said as I shot a glare at him

" Well I can't believe you didn't tell me VICE captain" I said as Anthony rolled his eyes as we made it to the capital

" Thanks for taking us, knowing Ryu would cry if he couldn't come" Aunt Lisa said as I smiled

" Of course" I said as we landed and everyone scattered across the festival

" It's a pleasure running into you Y/n" I heard as I looked behind me to see my father and his wife

" OH MY GOD DAD" I yelled as I jumped in his arms

" Woah, wait what happened to you" Father said as I got off of him as I looked confused

" When did you change into a girl" Father said as I blushed

" It's a long story for another time as you have yet to introduce me to your lovely wife" I said as I looked at the woman who had long brown hair as she was about my height

" Oh hello my name is Karen Kira" Karen said as I gasp

" You're apart of the house of Kira" I said as she laughed and shook her head yes

" Don't worry, I am not like my father" Karen said as I signed

" Good but could I steal him for a minute" I said as she giggled

" Of course" Karen said as she went to go get some food

" I am so glad and happy for you" I said as I hugged my father

" I am for you too, I saw the Black Bulls Captain looking at you one time and I almost launched myself at him" Father said as I laughed as he looked at me in the eyes

" I am so happy at how strong you are, I taught you well I see" Father said as he smirked and I smiled

" Of course, well I got to go" I said as I gave my father a final hug as Karen came running up to us

" Here have a chicken wrap" Karen said as she gave me and father a chicken wrap

" Here let me pay you back" I said as I reached for my wallet as she grabbed my hand

" It's ok, just go to the tournament" Karen said as I smiled and flew to the main arena where everybody was already there

" Ready to get your asses handed to you" I said as Yami laughed loudly

" As if" Yami said as he walked up to me

" Is that so" I said as I looked up to his as he smirked and went to his spot

" Now since all the captains are here let's bring them out so we can get this tournament started" Julius said as we all walked out and soon the crowd cheered

" YASS CAPTAIN VANGEANCE" A girl screamed as William sweat dropped

" They seem to love you" I said as William smiled as he looked above my head

" I don't think I am the only one" William said as I looked back to see my name in the air as I saw my team and I was soon a blushing mess

" Well now for the matchings" Julius said as a big board of our names appeared

Golden Dawn vs Silver Eagles
Aqua Deer vs White Tigers
Purple Orcas vs Crimsion Lion Kings
Blue Rose Knights vs Black Bulls
Green Praying Mantis vs Coral Peacocks

"This will be fun Rill"I said as I ran up to him

"Now for the first task"Julius said as everyone calmed down

" You are gonna be in teams of two as you face off the opposing team"Julius said as I raised my hand

"Yes Y/n" Julius said as I put my hand down

"So are we gonna face eachother off one on one at the end of the festival"I asked as Julius shook his head as Marx brought out a bowl with names as he shook the bowl and Julius pulled out names

" Here are the team"Julius said as another screen appeared showing the teams

Charloette and Yami
Fuegoleon and Y/n
Jack and Nozel
Dorothy and William
Rill and Kaiser

" The first challenge is for the vice captains to some down and stand in front of your captain"Julius said as I saw Anthony jump down and walked in front of me

"You had in on this didn't you" I asked as he smiled

"Of course" Anthony said as I looked to my left to see the vice captain of the crimsion lion kings Randall

"Nice to meet you, my name is Randall" Randall said as I shook his hand and waited for further instructions

"All we have to do is get passed all of them and the first one to get the flag wins"I said as I smiled

" Easy" I said 

"Y/n can only use one attribute to make it fair" Julius said as I glared at him

" Fine "I said as we all got ready to play

"GO" Marx yelled as we all charged towards the flag as our vice captains defended them

" Lets go" I said as Fuegoleon brought out his spirit

"Fire Spirit Magic: Salamanders breath" Fuegoleon said as the salamander blew fire everywhere as Randoll blocked the fire

" Lightning Spirit Magic: King Ghidorahs Roar" I yelled as  lightning went after Anthony as he prepared in his stance

" Counter Magic: Absorbing Counter" Anthony said as he absorbed the lightning

" Too bad you were distracted" I said as I was about to grab the flag until spatial magic came at me

" Ghidorah"I said as Ghidorah flew in front of me as I got the flag

" GOOD JOB Y/N" Fuegoleon yelled as Salamander turned into his fire arm

" Thanks" I said as I got down and fell into Fuegoleons arms

" Oh so sorry" I said as he put me down and patted my head as we waited for the next challenge
