My Book Of Absolute Angst

Oc infodump...... 2!!!

So honestly only Brave and maybe Kathy, Chris, and Ray know about these characters since they're either recent or I only started to like. Care about them recently
I don't think I'm going to go into all of them considering how long it'd be to just go through my final fantasy ocs, so I'll ramble about my favorites

Kifu (mild spoilers for final fantasy xiv??)
Kifu is super super important. Not in her story but just. To me. She's for final fantasy xiv and is a miqo'te!! Or a catgirl basically. She's a very cheery girl whose heart is in the right place, but not her brain. I've actually noticed that she and Kaira have a lot in common so that's fun.
But there's more to my catgirl!!! She's got a very long backstory and she doesn't even remember most of it!! Yeah you already know what it is if you know me. It's amnesia babey, something I've noticed I've been using a lot more as of late, but tbh I only gave it to her bcus I knew nothing about the game at the time.
So basically, Kifu grew up in Doma with her parents, her brother, O'nyah (who I stole from Brave but she let me have him so) and her childhood friend, Aerhardt. They were very chill when they were young!! But as Kifu grew older, she started distancing herself from everyone in her life. This was caused by her own fear. Around the time she turned 14, she discovered an ability she had called the Echo. It basically let her see the past of others against her will. (Now that I'm reading on the echo I'm not sure if I'm gonna keep some parts of this BUT y'know it's just what I have rn).
Kifu, once in her late teens, was confronted by O'nyah and Aerhardt. The three had a huge fight, and Kifu ran away from home. She would travel through Eorzea for a few years before she would be discovered by the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, who took her in because of her ability. Kifu never got along with any of the Scions save for Minfilia, the leader.
Since Minfilia took her in, Kifu felt obligated to serve her with her life. She looked up to her and glorified her to no end. Despite the power imbalance, Kifu started to crush. It wasn't healthy in any way.
However, this wouldn't last terribly long. A while after a new Scion joined— a woman with purple hair who Kifu already despised— a raid happened on the Waking Sands, the Scions' base by the Garlean Empire (basically some big bads). Kifu was ordered to run away, and with great hesitance, she did. However, it was storming, and the storm led to thunder, the thunder led to lightning, and the lightning led to a rock slide that was coming straight towards her, and—
Kifu woke up with no memories, nearly fatal wounds, and a destroyed journal at her side. She screamed for help, and help came. Even if it did take an hour. A viera (bunny basically) woman named Marian found Kifu and helped her. She nursed the catgirl back to health, but found that Kifu, the now very different girl, was stuck to her like glue. Marian had to sit her down and explain that not everyone who helps her should be idolized. Kifu got the message and avoided the behavior from before.
Once Kifu was prepared, she went out into the world with the goal of finding out who she was. She only had the journal that was at her side to go off of, but it somehow worked. She encountered someone whose face was drawn in the journal. That someone took her to see the rest of the Scions. Kifu would meet her future best friend here. A woman with purple hair who she liked from the very beginning... Well, the second beginning.
There isn't much more after that? Kifu now just vibes with her friends and got kidnapped and tortured once but OH FUCK I FORGOT TO MENTION SHE LOST THE ECHO..... yeah basically when she lost her old memories and self the Echo became dormant in her.

Mila (again spoilers)
Mila is a Garlean princess. Her brother, Zenos, is a shithead and she hates him. That's not very important but it had to be said. Anyway, Mila was a loyal soldier for Garlemald for a very long time. She trained under Gaius van Baelsar (who will adopt her later but that's YEARS later) and basically became a skilled fighter. However, one day by some circumstances, she found herself in a village in Eorzea, which Garlemald was working to conquer.
She was surprised by how different everything was. She decided to send word home that she was doing fine, just wanted to...... chill where she was for a while basically.
She became acquainted with the people who she used to consider to be savages, and realized that... They weren't bad. They were... actually a nice change. She would never admit that aloud to anyone, but she greatly preferred the people here to those at home.
When she did eventually return home, an idea came to her mind. She wasn't sure if it was an impulse or a genuine want for this freedom she had a taste of before, but she decided to run away. The thought of conquering those people just didn't sit right with her.
So, four years after the Seventh Umbral Calamity, she ran away. Mila donned the name "Canary" for a short time and hid herself in the same village as before. Everyone there knew that she was a Garlean. It was obvious. She was like 6' something while everyone else stood an entire foot under her. Except for the Elezen and male au ra tho. She spent a few years there. While making a run for it was a big move, there was still a bunch of behavior that she had to unlearn. The good thing was that people actually helped her with it.
The bad thing is the village would be put under siege a long time later. To this day, Mila isn't sure if they knew she was there or not. She still blames herself for what happened.
Mila lived on the run for a long time before she was discovered by Gaius. She ended up going with him and meeting the Warrior of Light later on.
She's now dealing with assassins and stuff since Zenos killed their father and things are just kinda chaotic up there and some bitches want her dead

Aerhardt
Aerhardt is Kifu's childhood friend I mentioned earlier. He's a very >:/ guy and is also blind!! He wasn't born that way, but he lost his sight in the Great Catastrophe after Kifu left. Since it wasn't a big thing for her, I didn't really mention it in Kifu's infodump.
I don't have much of a backstory for him, it's kinda surrounded by Kifu's rn so I'll fix that later,
Oh! Fun fact, he and Kifu meet again but don't realize they're each other. Kifu doesn't remember Aerhardt, and Aerhardt can't see her so he doesn't know if it's the same Kifu or a different one, especially with the personality change.

The Black Wolves
This isn't a final fantasy thing actually!!! It's a fire emblem rp group me and Brave are in
It's basically a really big group of people who all consider each other found family. They take in those who don't hav anywhere else to go or are in danger, and they protect them and give them care!!! I have a lot of characters for the whole thing and then some. So I might like? Ramble briefly on them and if anyone wants to hear more I will Ramble More. This is just getting really long as is so idk if anyone's gonna read this far.

Anyway,
Serafina: She's a depressed dark mage who is a shut in, has an unrequited crush on a dude named Ransom (Brave's chara), and really really cares about her younger sister.

Cora: MORO. SEXUAL. She's a short buff wyvern rider who tries to see the optimistic outcome of any situation. She's in love with a dancer boye named Cassius, who is very very good!!! Her wyvern is also named Sherbet.

Virgil: I don't actually have much for Virgil. He's an artist who Kinda shuts himself in to do projects all day. He's a sniper as well. Nobody really cares about him in the Wolves which makes him join up with the Empire during the timeskip

Quinn: My daughter!!!! She's a little girl who lost her town to this dragon cult bitch named Damian. She was basically adopted by the (basically) leader of the Wolves, Theodoric. She also has a little crush on her best friend, Andromeda!!! They hold hands and play dolls together.

Giselle: Sexy dragon lady!! She's very kind and compassionate and in the end does what's best for everyone. She's deadset on finding information about her brother, who is Damian and a prick. She is also in love with a dancer lady named Dahlia who makes her flustered.

Adair: BASTARD. BIG ASS BASTARD. He used to teach at the Officer's Academy at Garreg Mach Monastery, but he resigned after his wife and son were kidnapped. He kinda swirled downward and found the Wolves completely on accident. He's now adopted like. Idk at LEAST 2 kids and is in love with this dragon man named Amon. He's a flamboyant piece of shit who loves fucking with people. I love him

Ivy: She is a blind priestess who was wronged by her father's friends, and when she went to tell him, he didn't believe her. She opted to running away from home and ended up joining the Wolves. She's been adopted by Adair, and has two girlfriends (Amaya and Yulia) who are also her fiancées at this point.

Alexei: He's a little thief that has two crests. He's an angry little guy before the timeskip, but during he realizes that he's in a toxic situation and gets out of it. He heals some too!!!

Willow: Originally, she's a student at the Officer's Academy, but her goal isn't to learn to be a good noble or whatever. Her goal was to use the resources she could find to discover who her crestless sister was/is, since her parents abandoned that first child on a mountain. She finds out who it is and joins the Wolves after telling one of the members that she's her sister. She is also going to marry Mercedes.

Cassandra: I haven't worked on her much, but both sides of time are revealed to her and it's up to her to figure out what to do about it. Nobody ever listens to her so she needs to act on her own. She's also Alexei's older sister
