I've met many
And I've been let down
At the time...
I learnt my feelings for someone weren't actually genuine
I was doing just fine
Until you walked in
With a dumb blue hoodie
Alongside a toothy grin
From then on...
We were off to the races
Well time has gone by since then
I've met many more
I've learnt that all my feelings aren't always reciprocated
I've been rejected many times
I've never even gone on my first tryst
There are many more who have hurt or forgotten me
I'm sad to say, that you too must be added to that list
