Chenle leaned into you, letting you feel his hot breath against your skin. He soon closed the gap between your lips and his, pulling you into a soft kiss. His lips were soft to the touch, and they felt like velvet against yours. Taking a chance, you kissed back, starting to let your lips move in sync with his.
It wasn't what you expected to happen at all, but you soon realised it was exactly what you needed. Having Chenle this close to you created some sort of electricity between the two of you, a force you were unable to fight.
His hand made its way behind your neck, his other hand letting go of yours and moving to hold your waist. You leaned further into him, his tongue moving forward and asking yours for entrance. You happily obliged, opening up and letting him deepen the kiss while you sat yourself on top of him bringing his face closer to yours. He bit your bottom lip gently before letting his tongue move around your mouth, still moving and sucking lightly on your lips, sending butterflies soaring through your stomach.
Chenle's lips left yours, and he began to trail kisses along your jaw and down your neck until he reached your collarbone, staying there and sucking gently at the skin while you tilted your head back, allowing him more room. It felt perfect, and you hadn't had this feeling of such comfort in what felt like forever, but your brain suddenly snapped back to reality and all your thoughts of fear and the past came flooding back.
You pulled away from Chenle, quickly hopping off him and sitting back on your side of his bed, back turned from him to hide the tears that began to swell in your eyes.
"Hey," he whispered. "What's wrong? Did I do something wrong, was it too much? I'm sorry, I didn't mean to," Chenle stuttered, suddenly feeling apologetic and worried about whatever had caused such a sudden reaction from you.
"It's not you," you managed to say softly, taking a few breaths. "I just," you paused, lost for the right words. Chenle moved closer to you again, placing his hand around your back and pulling you in to lean against his chest. He stroked your cheek, wiping your tears away as they fell down, trying to calm your cries.
"I'm scared, Lele," you finally said after a few minutes. "I'm scared that if I give myself away like that, I'll lose you." Your lips began to tremble again, "I can't lose you, Lele." Your cries picked up again.
"You're not going to lose me, [y/n]. I'm not going to leave," Chenle pulled you back into his chest, wrapping his arms around you completely and running his fingers through your hair.
"I know," you said through deep breaths. "You say that, but we don't know what's going to happen. Everyone I've loved has left me. They've found someone else, or something else came up. I always lose them," you stutter out. "I can't lose you. If I don't let myself have you, then I won't."
"I'm in love with you, [y/n]," Chenle spoke softly. You looked up at him with your shiny eyes, his arms still wrapped around your shoulders. He took a breath before continuing, struggling to disguise his own nerves. "And I'm always going to. I don't want anyone else. No one can make me feel the way you do, [y/n]. It's me who can't lose you."
You didn't expect to hear those words come out of his mouth. You sat there, just staring up at him and still feeling worried, but now a little less insecure.
"And whether you love me or not, I don't care," Chenle continued. "I'm going to stay with you through everything, no matter what happens. I'm not going to let anything separate us like that, I promise."
Chenle leaned down and placed a soft kiss on your forehead. His words were everything you needed to hear. They were genuine, and it would be impossible for Chenle to hide the honest love he had for you no matter how hard he tried.
"Promise?" You asked, holding out your pinky towards him. Chenle gave you a soft, thin-lipped smile, sticking out his pinky and shaking it with yours.
"Promise."
You stayed comfortable in Chenle's hold while he comforted you and calmed you down. After a couple of minutes, Chenle spoke up again looking out his window to see a slowly darkening sky.
"It's getting late, let's get ourselves cleaned up. Do you wanna go out for dinner?"
You smiled and nodded, letting him take your hand and pull you up.
"Uh," you started, looking down at your dirty and crinkled clothes from the night before. "I don't really have anything to wear."
"Oh, right." Chenle ruffled around in his draws, pulling out a fresh shirt for you to wear. "Here," he said, throwing it over to you. "It might be a bit big," he warned with a laugh. You held it up against your small body, letting it fall right from your shoulders to half way down your thighs. Chenle laughed again, "it's cute."
Chenle let you into his bathroom to get changed, and you brought your bag with you remembering the makeup wipes you had luckily brought out with you to the party.
You walked back out wearing his baggy Levi's shirt and a clean face. You threw your other stuff on his bed, retying up your hair again.
"Woah," Chenle said softly from across the room.
"What is it?" You asked, looking up.
"I've never seen you without makeup before."
You blushed, looking away from him so he couldn't see your face. "Oh, sorry," you started to ramble out, feeling embarrassed. "I know, I'm not exactly, um," your words slipped away from you as your insecurities started to occupy your mind.
"No, no, no," Chenle said, walking across the room to you. "You're beautiful." Chenle put his finger under your chin and lifted it so you could face him and he could see you in a clearer light. "Even more beautiful up close," he whispered before leaning in and placing a small kiss on your lips. His mouth left yours again, sending you a proud smile.
"Let's get out of here."
