Monkeys from Hell?

 we arrived in... a hotel? strange...  looks deserted and dirty.  there were cardboard cutouts of bellhop monkeys. Doug looked slightly worried. "doug? you ok?" i asked

"yeah, its just i hope these arent what i'm thinking of..." he said quietly.

"afraid of monkeys~?" i teased sticking my tounge out as i went ahead of doug followed through a narrow hallway... not a good sign, i had claustrophobia... and a fear of hights, we saw a lightly larger part of the hallway and an elevator with some one in it. "excuse us!" i said running up to it but stopped when i heard the... thing screech like a monkey and the doors closed and the elevator rose up. "first off rude second, was that a monkey screech?"

"yeah it was... should we take the-" doug said as the doors opened. 

"nope, c'mon Mr. houser, hurry your butt up in here." i told him getting in the elevator. he sighed and came in with me. the doors closed and we had some time to talk. "so whats was your life like?" i asked softly

"i had a wife and daughter... and a Lawyer. my wife had a few mental disorders which carried into our daughter Tammy... i wasn't the best person in life... what about you?"

"My father wasn't the best person, He was a Drunkard, and my mom dies when i was born. i ran away at sixteen and i meet my spouse at my job. i thought we were happy together...." I told him. "but guess what they did, they fucking cheated on me and i... may have Accidentally killed them. i didn't want to be labeled as a murderer so i ran out i saw a truck approaching an old lady and a kid i shoved them out of the way and well now were here."  I told him looking the the elevator door. the door opened up and we saw the ring alter. "wow... lucky" i said

"you see those crystals? those are soul shards, they are the remence of human souls who perished here, collect all of them and the first ring piece is yours." Bierce told us "oh and its not just you two..." i gulped "check your bag, you'll both need it, it will detect shards locations and each other."

"alright, lets break these boards and go Houser." i said pulling up my sleeves  before Doug went in front of me and broke 'em " i could have done it my self." i told him with from a side glance before looking in the hall... seeing how close the walls were to each other. "NOPE NOT GOIN" IN THERE"  i said stuttering

"afraid of hallways?" he asked with a chuckle as he grabbed my wrist and dragged me in i took my hand back and followed his lead.

~a little time skip later

"doug.. Run. now, opposite directions." I told him as i heard something behind us. he looked behind us and his eyes widened and ran off  while i went the other direction i guess i choose the unlucky direction because i ran into a different monkey's back and the looked at me their blood stained knife hands shone slightly in the dim light "p-please dont k-kill me..." i stuttered the monkey bent down and held out his elbow. "h-huh..? i asked as i took it and got up with his help "t-thank you..." i said slightly he walked away and i just walked through the halls confused and slightly scared before i got a notification on my tablet. 

'get the ring piece' the bottom said and i ran back the way i can to see doug there as well and we headed to the elevator as the doors were closing an extremely angry murder monkey appeared and tried to get in but the doors closed while me and doug squeased ourselfs on the the back of the elevator and i quickly pressed the lobby button. you both went down and reached the first floor and went towards the portal.

"END OF THE ROAD MORTALS!" a voice shouted and we kept running  i felt a cut forming as i jumped through. doug looked at me and i noticed a cut on his right arm, that cut through his brown tee-shirt

"doug... you ok?" i asked.

"yeah, thanks Y/n what about you?" doug asked

"fine, i'm fine." i panted

"well done loves, you got the first piece and you meet my companion..." Bierce said looking at the door. it suddenly had an eye ball and i jumped in surprise

"Biercie! Still persistance after all theres years how foolish...do not listen to her mortals shes just using you." they said.

"oh like how you're using that door to watch us? hows your voice even reaching us?" i asked with a half ton of sass and Doug chuckled

"shut it mortal. give her the rings and there will be... consiquences."

"like what you gonna do, spank us mr. demon?" i teased crossing my arms

"Shut It. Mortal. This is your final Warnings... help her and you will suffer as well if you keep teasing me... if you believe her you're dumber than you look. once she gets what she wants, you're done." he said starring deeply into your eyes

"pay no attention to him, his powers can not reach you here, the ring piece place it at the alter, now" she said i sat down on the stairs as doug placed it down "its been so long..." Bierce said as doug sat next to me and she faced us. " the ring is called the riddle of heaven, ironic dont you think? a demon's power is contained inside i; the creature of infinite cruelty that you just met... Malak. Complete the ring and you can use malaks power to fulfill your darkest desires.. or so the legend goes

"oh great a legend." i sighed
