Chapter 27

Third person

Sabrina ran to her dressing room, slamming the door shut behind her. She dropped onto the couch, her body racking with sobs

She heard a small knock on the door "I'll be out in a minute" she sucks in a shaky breath, wiping her eyes with her sleeves. The door opened anyway, Ceci stepping inside with a sympathetic look on her face

"I take it that was the replacement dancer?" Ceci questioned lightly. Sabrina nodded, her eyes glued to the floor. "Come here" Ceci mumbled with a pout in her face, taking a seat beside Sabrina on the couch and pulling her into her side, her hand rubbing her back soothingly

"I-I..don't even know why I'm upset..we aren't dating" Sabrina stuttered in between cries. "Because you two had a close connection, you've been with him night and day for over a month and a half. You're really close, and you have feelings for each other. You're allowed to be upset about this, Sab" the black haired girl explained softly

"I-I told him that I didn't like her, he said that nothing happened, that I'm the one sharing hotel rooms with him, and I'm the one on the plane with him.." The blonde trailed off, feeling Ceci nod against her, "because you had some kind of understanding..wasn't the whole meaning behind your song that you guys aren't dating but you aren't seeing anybody else, that you don't want each other to.?" Ceci questioned

"Well that's what I thought..turns out he was just making me look like an idiot" Sabrina sobbed, "and now I have this fucking show in less then an hour, there's people already sitting inside the arena waiting for him. I have to dance and sing love songs with him" She added

"Don't go on tonight, let her fill in. Then they can see how big of a difference having you up on stage makes the fans react compared to having a literal no on the stage instead" Ceci suggested. Sabrina nodded "okay..I'm gonna go to the car.." she mumbled, standing up from the couch and leaving the dressing room

Ceci found Amir, explaining what happened and asking for him to tell Peyton as Sabrina had already left the venue. He agreed, allowing Ceci to meet Sabrina in the car before heading back to the hotel

Amir sighed as he opened peytons dressing room door, he sat on the couch, his hand covering his mouth as he stared blankly at the wall in front of him "Peyton.." Amir caught his attention

Peyton stood up immediately, his eyes pleading answers "..she's gone back to the hotel..she isn't gonna do tonight.." Amir explained to him. Peyton sighed in frustration, kicking the wall beside him

"I'm such an idiot" he cursed annoyed at himself. Amir watched him intently, "she was pretty upset..her manager has booked her a separate room in the hotel.." he mumbled

The thought of having to dance with Vanessa made Peyton want to punch the wall. He had no idea how the kiss even happened, one minute they were dancing, next minute he heard the door jiggle and Vanessa kissed him

"We've got to get the show on the road though..you're already late..you were due on 10 minutes ago" Amir spoke gently. Peyton rolled his eyes, he could so do without tonight's show, he just wanted to get back to her.

He sucked it up, getting ready to go on stage and started the concert with Vanessa by his side in the latex suit. She looks nowhere near as good as Sabrina does, he thought

After about 3 songs, the crowd began to cheer, "Sabrina! Sabrina! Sabrina!" He sighed, looking out to the crowd in front of him "I hear you, I hear you" he chuckled causing them to scream wildly

"Unfortunately guys, Sabrina wasn't feeling too good today so she decided to sit tonight out..that also means we won't be performing Hold tight and boyfriend tonight.." peyton explained

The crowd made a loud 'awww' sound. He nodded "i know, but she told me to say she's extremely sorry and that she hopes to see you guys again soon one day" he lied

"For now though, you're gonna have to listen to me" he added to try and lighten the room, the crowd cheering again.
