i'm so tired of this bullshit
so my mom doesn't like her body hair growing out, right? fine, good on her. i can respect that. what i can't respect is her acting disgusted towards anyone else who doesn't mind their body hair growing out.
i hate shaving my legs. it makes me feel dysphoric. i feel the same way about my underarms. but when my mom sees that i, someone who takes regular showers and maintains proper hygiene, have hair in any of those places, i'm automatically disgusting. how is it any different from the hair on my head? is that disgusting too? no, it's not. why is the hair on my head okay but the hair on my body gross? i don't understand her logic.
and then when boys get body hair, she doesn't care. "oh, but it's natural!" then wtf is this shit growing on my body? is that unnatural somehow?
i don't understand why body hair is acceptable, and even expected on men, but not girls??? and in addition, i'm not even a girl?????
i think my mom needs to calm the hell down and accept that not everyone feels the same way about body hair as she does.
