Btw, the song (Y/N)'s singing is Betty Boop's main theme. Sorry it took so long!
"One, two, three...action!" Sammy yelled. Being a famous singer did have it's charms, but singing in a humble animation studio felt better. I got to play the part as Alice Angel. Although, I do wonder where the original actor went..."(L/N)! No dozing off! Let's start it from the top!"
I sighed. We had taken about twelve takes now, but I thought I had done good every time. I keep bringing it up to the blond, but he never agreed. "Ready? Action!"
"I want to be loved by you, just you! And nobody else but you..." I sang, letting my voice get a bit higher to match Alice's squeaky voice. I always thought the songs Sammy wrote were sort of cheesy, but it's a certain aspect that the show was known for. For some odd reason, we'd always have to voice our parts before we even leaned about the episode. Whenever i'd ask Joey or Sammy, they'd always say it was to keep us 'fresh'.
Speaking of voicing, we still don't have an actor for Boris, Pretty irresponsible, right? The old one dropped out. Norman actually offered to voice the part and i agreed with him! Unfortunately, Joey disagreed since he was in charge of the projector even though being the projectionist is such a minor job! Without Boris, it's just Alice, Bendy, who's coincidentally voice by none other than Joey himself, and a few other side characters.
"And...cut! That was amazing, (L/N)!" Sammy had always called me by my last name, but I'm not entirely sure why. I grinned, finally being able to make him satisfied. But there were still several more script pages to be read. I sighed at how much work I still had. Due to budget cut, we couldn't have another practice room even though I offered to pay for it. Joey's such a hardhead sometimes...
"How is everyone? Good? Good. What're we voicing again Sammy?" Speak of the Devil! Literally. A voice only known as Drew bursted through the wooden room that probably wasn't suitable for a voice studio.
"(Y/N) just finished her concert scene. We're in the apple orchard now, It's right after Alice's performance," Sammy replied. So, Alice was singing the song as a concert? Although, how did she end up in the orchard?
"Lovely! (Y/N), lets start!" Joey instructed. I take a gulp to catch my breath then I scan my script quickly.
"Okay..." I start once I find my place again. I take a sip of my freezing water to adjust my voice. "Oh my! Fancy seeing you here hun!" Alice bursted with joy as she presumably found Bendy in the dark orchard. Joey coughed a bit to clear his throat soon after.
Putting his jolly voice everyone recognized as Bendy, he read on. "It's nice seeing you here too, toots. But why's a doll like you wandering here at night?" Bendy questioned. I blushed at his lines, it's like he's really talking to me...
Quickly, I snap back to reality and shake my head swiftly to get rid of the thoughts. "Oh, I'm just strolling around. It's sort of a routine. I do it every time after a concert," Alice explains.
"Oh, eh heh. Anyways...can I tell ya' somethin'?" Bendy asked. Reading ahead in the script I giggle immaturely to myself.
"Why, sure sweetie! What did you want to say?" Alice asked sweetly, batting her eyes in the stage directions.
Joey smirks, soon saying his next line. "Just come a little closa'" Bendy says kindly.
"Sure sugar," The cheesy nicknames were killing me.
"A little closer..." Alice assumably bent down to Bendy's height by the line.
"What is it?" Alice innocently asked. I read more ahead and cringed at the next few stage directions.
"Oh, just this," Bendy smashes his lips onto Alice. I felt uncomfortable at the sudden action. Why couldn't I just be singing or voicing another part?! Even though it was only us reading parts, but I just couldn't get the image of it actually Joey and I instead of Alice and Bendy.
Sammy had a look of disapproval in his face. Gosh, why was everyone here so strict?
"What?" I confusedly ask.
"What?!" He mocks, soon earning an eye roll from me. "You are supposed to kiss! We need the sound effect!" Sammy boomed. I facepalmed. I would've suggested literally ANY other alternative, but I doubt Sammy'll change his mind about it.
Unamused, I sigh, attempting to act unaffected, but I was really dying inside. I mean, who wouldn't fee weird being somewhat forced to kiss someone? I glance down at the bow interesting floor. I look back up to see him giving a warm grin. Though he was an asshole sometimes, he's got such a vibrant smile.
I smirk back. "Ok. Fine, Sammy. We will do it your way," I say trying to be courageous.
"Fantastic (Y/N)!" He shouts. I sit dumbfounded at the fact that he called me by my name. Something was up...
Passing it off, I lean towards Joey. He gets it.
... ... ...
I pull away holding both my hands to my lips I've used so much to sing. I could already feel my already warm cheeks heat up more.
"O-Okay, Sammy. A-Are we done?"
He doesn't answer. Instead, he's just snickering to the side.
"S-Sammy?"
"Y'all didn't have to do the kiss. Joey teamed with me on this,"
In the next ten seconds, I threw everything off my desk and tackled Sammy. Joey literally cheering, not knowing I'm get him later.
