There's always a story behind a smile,
Like a stick in a grass pile,
It may seem to be happiness, but
You may not notice that there's a cut.
There's a smile that hides pain,
Tears, regrets and things you can't bear.
Cries may be invisible in the rain,
And it can be changed by never-ending love and care.
Keep smiling even if it hurts inside,
Not every emotion makes us feel like we'd died.
Even if it is dark and full of sorrow,
Remember that the sun will still rise tomorrow.
