"yeah let's go to the beach it'll be fun" "you guys go i have to babysit tonight" "you've been using that excuse for 3 weeks now are you okay" "yeah i just you know family problems" "amy we know you're lying we saw you home last night and the night before" emma says
yeah i was lying i didn't feel like going anywhere it's starting to get warmer again and that means that everyone's going to the beach we all go to. don't even get me started with the mall.
"come on go with us" jake says "fine"
the bell rings we get up i put my backpack on and walk to class but someone stops me.
"hey jacobo" i knew exactly who it was "hi mar" you say softly sighing "how you been" he says "i have to get to class mariano" i say trying to walk pass him "there's 3 minutes left" "so" "well we haven't talked in 3 weeks" he says scratching the back of his neck "we're not friends or anything I don't see why we need to talk" you say he runs his fingers through his hair "but i thought we were" "we were until you" the second bell rings "i gotta go" "amy i didn't fucking kill him his arm is just in a cast no big deal" i shake my head and walk into class
AFTER SCHOOL
Diana drops me off at my house we start getting ready. i pick out a black bathing suit.
"which bathing suit are you wearing" you them "a red one" elizabeth says "should I wear a yellow or pink one" emma questions "pink" diana says "what about you Diana?" "um i don't know I'm wearing this light blue one" she replies
i change and put some shorts and a tube top over my bathing suit
"Aight let's go who's driving we're meeting the boys there" "I'm not driving" "Emma you drive" she rolls her eyes and gets the keys
BEACH
you take your sandals off and walk down the hill the sand was hot but the warm breeze was nice. i see people from our school playing football close to the water.
"hey look" emma nudges me
i look where she's pointing and see mar rubbing sunscreen on alessya's back.
"I thought they broke up" diana says "i heard she cheated" elizabeth blurts out "nah nah mar supposedly found another guy in alessya's bed" "ooo that's tuff" We lay our towels down and put sunscreen on "come on let's get in" jake says "not right now there's a lot of people" you say looking at the water "I'd you don't go in right now it'll get cold" "are you guys coming?" "yeah let me put on sunscreen" you wait for them "let's go!" emma says jake pulls my hand and we walk down to the water "it's warm" "no shit it's so fucking hot today" "you know what i could really use right now" "what" "a banana puff" emma says "like always" "come on amy let's go ask mar" "me! you think I would go talk to that after what he did no" "he's always asking about you so"
i furrow my eyebrows "we'll wait for you guys back at the towels" me and emma walk over to mar and alessya "castano!" emma says catching his attention "hey diaz what you need" he looks up squinting his eyes as the suns in his face "2 banana puffs" he looks over at me "uhm" he says alessya notices "hurry up mar so we can go in the water" "actually I'm out" alessya looks in the backpack they have "no you're not here emma" alessya says handing her the two puffs and emma paying her while mar stares at her "what come on let's go" you walk back to the towels with emma
"guys guys!" emma blurts out as she runs back to the spot "what!" elizabeth says looking at us "so me and Amy went to go buy the puffs right" "did he not sell them to you?" diana asks "no but-" emma burst out laughing "mar told us oh I'm out and this bitch alessya really looked in the backpack they had and said no you aren't" they laugh
"he really stood there like 👁👄👁"-emma
The rest of the day was fun until they dropped me off i was reaching for my keys when someone grabbed my wrist.
"give it to me jacobo" he says "give you what?!" i ask "i told you to stop doing that shit" "mar why do you care so much leave me alone" "i-i care because-" he looks into my eyes and pulls me into a passionate kiss "why'd you do that" i say quietly "I'm sorry i should've not done that i-i should go" he says as he runs his hands through his hair "no it's okay I kissed back" he smiles and shakes his head "well I'll see you at school" i nod and smile
you unlock your door and run to your room what the fuck what the fuck. i scream in my pillow mar just kissed me what the fuck no you can't catch feelings it was just a kiss right?
