I stare out that window,
watching people come and go.
Sirens wailing with their flashing bows,
Bringing people in with a throw.
My heart aches as they go on,
Not knowing where they'd end.
Mask becomes the norm,
Gloves their shield,
Sanity is tested, as some weep.
