chapter seven

Antonia's  pov

    The pandemonium at my house grew even stronger
  
On the night of the engagement party when they discovered me missing,they had all thought I went out with Kathy. But after a week;no phone calls,no texts,they realized something was up

  Roseline had just returned from the police station,she had to file a report

   "Any progress mom?" She asked as she entered the living room

   "Nothing's up,your dad has being trying to track her down,all efforts wasted"

   All activities had being put on hold to find me;her wedding,my parents silver anniversary,even my birthday

   Kathy was informed also and made all efforts to track me down,but these people had tactics which were completely off the roof

   She walked in and hour later,she had lost so much weight for a week and could barely walk properly

   "Hi Freda" she greeted my mom,"any update?"

  "There's nothing Kathy. Its like she just vanished without a trace, I'm so confused"

   "I've had this strange guy follow me all around town,I don't even know him" Kathy said

    My mom who needed even the tiniest ray of hope immediately turned listening with rapt attention

   "What does he look like, I mean you do remember his face right?" She said in between words

   Just then two police officers walked in,they seemed worn out from a futile search

   "We have no lead on the case" they said after some formal greeting. "We suspect the kidnapper may return hence we'll be placing the whole family on surveillance" he paused briefly before asking, "is there any member of the family who's out of the country?"

   "Yes,that'll be my husband,but he'll be back later today"

   "That's fine,you should report any suspicious movement around the house to the authority"

   Just then she remembered what Kathy had told her,she arrested the event over again

   "We'll also keep an eye on her"

    After some words of condolence,both men left

    There was some kind of newly discovered gloom in the house,one that had never existed

    An hour later Kathy picked her bags up,she had to get home

   "Freda,I'll get going now,please call me once you get any update"

    "Yes,and please I'll need this to stay within the family,no outsider should get wind of this matter. And please be careful"

     "You can trust me with that" she finally left

     Freda slumped lazily on the long sofa,she had never felt so empty before,though she never had much attention for me,she blames herself for everything that happened recently

Tyson

   I woke up to the aroma of pancakes and syrup,I had a strong headache and could barely think straight

   The environment was horribly familiar,the usual perfume I wore,the massive bed with flowers scenting sheets. On closer inspection I realized I was in my room

   I knew something was amiss. My memories seemed to have a hard time coming back and when they finally did,I spurted loudly

   "Tonia" I broke into a cold sweat as I could clearly see now
