ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ 3: ᴛʜᴇ ʙɪʀᴅ sᴄᴇɴᴇ ᴘᴛ.2

"What? Why? I did everything-" Tori got cut off by a janitor holding the fake bird, "Hey, watch where you throw your props" He threw the bird at Tori but she ducked

Beck and I walked towards Tori, "Whatcha doing?" He asks "Angrily throwing books in my locker, can't you tell?"

"That looks fun. Can I do it to your face instead?" I ask as I squint my eyes towards her "No!" She kind of yelled, I rolled my eyes and went to get some punch from the machine

"Have you figured out how you're gonna decorate it yet?" Beck asks as I came back "Yes, look, I put a stripe on it. Did you see the stripe?"

"That's stupid" I commented as Beck covered my mouth with his hands

"I see the stripe" Beck replied while I take his hands off my mouth to my shoulders "Well, I don't know what to do" Tori whined crossing her arms "Why don't you do something, you know, creative and deep?" Beck said

"What'd you do for yours?"

"Come on" He nodded as he walked towards his locker with both of us following him. He moved to the side and pointed at his locker, "Clear?" Tori asks

"Transparent." He corrected "I've got no secrets and neither does my locker" He patted his locker "But–Aw, that is creative and deep" Tori gave up "Yeah" Beck shrugged

"So, Anyway... About 'The Bird Scene'" Tori bragged "Just give it up already" I whined and leaned on the locker "Later" Beck said leaving grabbing my hand and walked away at the same time as the bell ringed.

We all was in class waiting till Sikowitz to come. The door opened, Robbie and Andre came in walking weirdly whining, "Happy birthday" Sikowitz said as he came in

"Whose birthday is it?" Cat asked "Somebody's, Somewhere" He replied "That's so true"

"Where's is tori?" Sikowitz asks "Here" She said behind him, scaring Sikowitz, "Oh! Ha ha. You brought curtains"

"Let's do this" Tori said going back behind the curtains "Very good. Ladies and Gentlemen, once again, 'The Bird Scene,' starring Tori..." He wondered forgetting her last name

"Vega" Tori told him "Vega!"

The curtains opened and some music started playing. "It was 1934 with my husband left me," Tori started again "Alone. Living on the prairie was a dreary existence. No telephone, no radio, only a large, Majestic bird with whom I shared my feelings" Tori whistles making a real come thru the window and land on a arrow.

"You see the bird, too, right?"
"Yeah"
"Fantastic"

"One day, when I was feeling low, I said to him, 'Oh, bird, you can fly. You can soar miles from this lonely place yet you stay. Why?" Tori nodded towards the window at the bird and it flies away "And apparently my question rang true, for that afternoon my bird left, and so went my spirit"

"That... Was impressive" Sikowitz commented, "So did I get it right?" Tori asks, I rolled my eyes and laid my head on Jade's shoulder

"Nope"

"But–but I just-I-I— I did, too, get it right!" Tori said angrily, "Tori, listen–"

"I'm not trying to be disrespectful but do you know how hard I worked on this scene? I made this costume. I downloaded special prairie music. I even trained that crazy cockatoo to fly in and out of the window on command!" The bird flies back in and squawks, "Not now! Look, I know you're a great acting teacher and everything, but I don't care what you say. The scene I just did was good, and I'm proud of it. No matter what anybody thinks"

We all started clapping at her, "What?" Tori asks "You just passed "The Bird Scene'" Sikowitz said making everyone cheered and clap again

"But you said–"

"Tori, the whole point of 'The Bird Scene' is to teach a performer, like yourself, to believe in your own choices, no matter what others think. We are artists, and a true artist does not define success based on 'oh, hee, hee' approval from others. A true artist need only please himself or herself or itself" Sikowitz pointed at Rex

"You don't know what I got" Rex argued "So, all three times I did the scene-" Tori started

"Were Delightful" Sikowitz told her "It's was only wrong when you asked if it was right, Hmm? Drive-by acting exercise." Sikowitz clapped "You're all elderly people walking barefoot on broken glass. Go!"

We all got up from our seats and did the acting.

"You guys ready?" Tori asks as she was going to show us her locker

"Uh-huh"
"Yay"

"Whatever" Jade said, Tori closed her locker, "Make what shine?" Trina ask "It's the title of the song I sang in the bug showcase" Tori told us

"Oh!"
"Okay"
"Whatever"

"Cause, you know, that's what got me here in the first place." Tori said "I don't like it" I said shrugging "Maybe the words should be bigger" Cat suggest

"Yes" Trina agreed then everyone started agreeing. "Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah" Tori shut all of us up "I believe in my own choice, and I don't need approval from others"

"Ah, the young female has learned the ways of 'The Bird Scene'" Beck said "I still think it's dull" I told her "Yeah? Well, then maybe I should make it shine" Tori said before pressing a button making the stars and the words shine.

"Oh!"
"Very nice!"

"Okay, are we going to eat or what?" Jade ask leaving towards lunch

"Oh, yay, food"

"Coming with?" Beck asks Tori "Sure" I looked back and glared at both of them and kept walking forwards

"Get off of me. Who is this chick?!"

"Relax, relax, relax" Andre tried calming Tori down and taking her off Russ. "What are you doing?" Liam asks Tori after they take her off Russ

"That guy was beating up Beck" Tori explains "Oh, you poor thing" I said as I went over Beck "We were practicing" Beck told her

"This is Russ" The teacher said pointing at Russ, "I'm Russ!"

"He's a professional stuntman. I invited him here to teach the class about stage fighting"

"And now, tori says, 'What's Stage fighting?'" I mocked "I wasn't gonna say that" Tori says as she looked at Andre and asked him about it. He told her about it.

"I took a class with him last summer" Beck said "Well, it looked like he was hurting you" Tori said

"Why do you care?" I asked rolling my eyes "Cause I figured he already suffers enough pain dating you"

"You wanna see pain?" I asked getting closer to her "Hey, why don't we go sit over there?" Beck said as dragged me to a chair while I still glared at Tori
