We all know that the epilogue talks about a particular girl, three generations down from the Bailey twins. Her name was Charlotte 'Charlie' Black, though she preferred to be know as Charlie.
She ended up finding the book that brought Alex and Conner to the Land of Stories in the first place. The twins are old and frail now, so it's time to pass down the adventures.
