Y/n's pov.  

" I'm happy to see you again " Old Madam said, I smile.

" It's happy to see you too Your Grace " I said.

" You look like you've lost a few weights " she said.

" I'm fine, just exhausted and all " I said.

" Why don't you come to the garden like we use to, get some tea " she said.

" I've got some task to do on my own " I said.

" Oh, okay " she said.

" I'm sorry, it's important " I said.

" I understand, you just got your brother back and are in the process of rebuilding Avalon " she said.

" I'm just glad you're still alive " I smile.

" I'm not going to die that easily " she said, we chuckled.

" I have to go " I said, she nodded and I stood up from the stool.

I leave her chambers and I walk down the hallway and turn to the right when I stop to see Dante standing there and we stood in front of each other awkwardly.

" Y/n " he said.

I swallow a lump in my throat and look up at him.

" I– " I turn away from him and walk off the the other direction.

My hands clench into a fist as I did that, water gather in my eyes as I turn a corner, I lean against the wall and cover my mouth as tears stream down.

I cry silently as I stand there, taking in shaky breaths, I can hear Dante in the distance walking away as his footsteps fade.

" Y/n? " I look to my right and see Aiden.

I stood straight and wipe away my tears, drying my face.

" I was about to head out and. . . .get some fresh air " I said, he raise a brow at me.

" I'm fine " I said and walk pass him.

Exiting the palace through the huge door, I walk down the stairs and approach my horse. I grab the rein and stroke his head.

" Going so soon? " I turn around and see Gene walking down the stairs.

" I need fresh air " I said.

He approach me.

" How are you holding up? " He asked.

" Not so good " I said and got on my horse.

I snap the horse rein and my horse started walk out of the gate.

Dante's pov.  

I rush down the stairs as I put on my leather gloves.

" Where are you going? " Gene asked.

" After her " I said.

" No " he grabs my arm.

" Let go " I said.

" Father will kill you if you go after her " he said.

" I'm not letting him stop me, she needs to know the truth " I said.

" You saw how she reacted when she saw you, she neglected you " he said.

" I left her without saying a word, she needs to know " I said.

" That Nicole is behind this? " He whispers.

" Yes " I push his hand off and got onto my horse.
